Ok a friend of mine is starting a business that help people that are down on there luck get their place back in socity.

I told her I would do a business card for. She would like to convey the message " I'm Still Standing " I either need to take photograph that conveys this message or use one currently available.

I don't really have the time to photograph somthing right now since my wife has the flu and I am taking care of the house work. If I could use an image that exsists I am sure we could work out a deal.

Thank you for your input.

how does something like this seem.

It conveys the message fine, but I don't have a very large file. It's big enough for a buisness card though

An image of a razor blade for people down on their luck may be a really dangerous idea...

Thats a good photo, but the people she is tring to help are reformed drug abusers, and I dont think this would be the right image for the card. Althought it is a great photo.

Thanks for the input.

yea, I thought about that, but it depends on how they're down on their luck. It would obviously be no good for people overcoming addictions, but if it's just someone with finantial issues, I don't think it would hurt, but I definitely agree, and was kind of thinking about that.
edit: saw trav's post, *walks back to drawing board*

I have a photo of the world trade center globe that conveys your theme but may not be understood by all. The globe was a sculpture in the court yard that was dug up realatively unharmed. by the way how do i post pics

That sounds pretty good. She had mentioned maybe a tree. I was thinking may be a single tree that has overcome a forest fire.

Also I want the photo for a business card so I really dont want too much going on, just something simple.

How about a silhouette of two people ontop of a hill each helping someone else up to the top(one arm out pulling them up) caption on top "noone can do it alone" front of card. Back of b-card "we're here to help" simple black/white.

I think the flower one is good because it is simple and the yellow on the flower against the dull background seems to represent hope as well as strength. So I would go for something like that.

This will need to be simple, symbolic, easily recongnizable and identifiable as fitting the message. Noodling on it...

This is exactly the situation I was thinking of when I did this shot:

You can use this if it works for you.

I'd think a lighthouse might be effective; it conveys both a sense of standing against the elements and of "Protecting" or "Guarding"...
