Have you ever seen it?
Sorry if it has been posted already, but I found it quite interesting.

In photoshop, if you hold CONTROL down, then go help>about photoshop, u'll se a screen called DARKMATTER instead of the regular one.
The cool thing is, if u click on the white part of the screen, right above the word "protected" (nothing should happen, if the window closes start it over again) and wait for the credits to scroll (hold ALT so it'll scroll faster), the next time the credits start scrolling, u'll now see some funny quotes on that very same white area on top of the "protected" word.

Just read it on some website and thought it would be fun for u to look at!

Again, if it has been posted alread, plz, delete the thread!

In PSE2, it says "Palladium" and starts scrolling. Cool...

It's called an "Easter Egg"; most software has it. Some of it's truly hysterical. Geek humor....

The most memorable one was in MS Excel 97 (if you can find this version anywhere this is how to activate it.

If you have a software package, try googling for "easter egg" and the sw name.

I'm nearly 60 years old, and have been on computers since a 10 Mb hard drive was considered HUGE. I been using PS and CorelDraw both since version 1.0. Picked up a few tricks along the way...

since we are talking about easter eggs, if anyone out there actually uses MatLAB for real applications, you may look at the command prompt and type "why" every once in a while. the program will tell you some great answers. and for being an indispensable engineering application, it is quite the humor. for an engineer, of course.

actually, MatLAB rocks out quite a few great imaging applications, but nothing on the aesthetic side of images. more medical MRI stuff...

Interestingly enough I just learned about the "dark matter" easter egg a couple days ago, reading Martin Evening's "PS CS for Photographers."
there are a couple of other easter eggs in PS, I'll go beck & look and post tonite, if noone finds them first!
Speaking of geek humor, I once had an audio editor (CoolEdit 2000) that had "tips of the day", among which this was my favorite...
