Childhood outtakes
Hi, I hesitated with an other mirror picture, but I thought it was less 'obvious' but I like the shape of the mirror and the 'melting' with the sky. The other outtake (the stop/kindercare one) .. I thought it was a little too 'mainstream'.
Any comments on if you think I was tight to submit that one ?
(The submitted one and the 2 outtakes are in that link).
THanks
Lionel

I think the one you submitted is the best one. The one of the stop sign would be improved if you could have cropped out the two nuts that hold the sign on to the bus. Keep up the good work.
BTW: That is just a country boys opinion.

I had a couple ideas for the childhood challenge ... my second choice is the following photo .. but i just couldnt get the crop right - and i was worried I'd get slammed for having "child statues" in my photo

Peter Pan's Flight

or here is another idea I had - but the background was too busy

or ... one more idea ... kinda subtle - but it's from "the happiest place on earth" - hehe

I like the one you submited, I gave it a 8 .
I do not like the one with the big .. 'pumpkin' (not sure). I like the one with mickey and the peter pan as well.
For my own taste I prefer the one you submited becasue of the angle and I like the texture/colors a lot.

Hey hokie .. have you looked at mine ? we did the same things about the school but ...
Look at my out takes (top of this forum)
That would have not look very 'original' if both had posted the same shot !
How do you say in english ... 'great spirits meet' or something like that ? ;-)

Awesome. I hate to say it Hokie, but gee... this rocks. The curves are so organic looking, and the symmetry is great.

I thought the same thing Lionel whenI first saw the Childhood shots last week.

I said.."Whew..glad I didn't post my other main choice!" which was either School Mourning or Summer Blues

I love looking at everybody's outtakes...

And thanks mcmurma :-D You have some incredible stuff yourself....You are very polished and have a real eye for things. I have scored all of your photos highly so far.

About three hours south in Lynchburg...15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. I can't wait for fall and winter!!!

I do believe that the two of you have stumbled into the same stream of cosmic consciousness!

I like the colors on your photos of the school buses in the convex mirrors. I like a blue sky that is for sure. I got another photo that would have been good for childhood.
What I am doing right now is taking my better or liked pictures from scratch and redoing them. I will be redoing my website and making some new CD discs so I can sent to my relatives.
