I have a D70 that is clean, LCD protector, factory box. i am probably selling because i am going to a prosumer digital (f828 or something smaller for backpacking). let me know if you are interested
-nikon n6006 (MAYBE..)
-85mm f1.8
-77mm circ polarizer for 20-35mm and 80-200mm
-Close up focusing adaptor that has all electronic connections (for any -lens to focus closer).
-spare battery for d70
-80-200mm f2.8 nikkor - a little mold got in there.. it should come off without leaving marks, it did off the back glass (cleaned it off there and couldnt tell it was ever there) i just cant figure out how to take apart the lens.
hard black/and silver metal case that has foam and holds all lenses and cameras, etc..

some random provia/ color neg/ bw tri-x 35mm film.

$1100 Neg. i am sad to say goodbye. i just never use it because the thing is to big to fit in my pocket or ski pack like my old F707.

hows the F828? i need something with a good zoom and focus system. lookin to spend around 1k.

I take mine backpacking and hiking all the time. I have the Podzilla that I have a double over the shoulder harness and float it on the front of my chest. Or hook it up to the to top of the pack. That Podzilla isn't THAT big, holds camera with 18-70mm (or 50mm) and whichever is not on underneath it, (that area also holds cords, sb-600 base, money, business cards, Lumiquest flash attachment, bubble level, blower, and other misc), a SB-600 Flash in a side pocket, waterproof notepad and space pen in outside mesh pocket, 70-300mm in the other, front pocket holds 6 AA batteries, 4 CF cards, another pen, lens brush, remote, WhiBal cards, D70 spare battery, few other misc small things. Worth a look

The 828 is a great camera--definately has its limitations compared to an SLR, but I've been very pleased with mine. Feel free to ask me any specific questions that you have.

By the way, are you interested in an even trade? ;-)

possibly for the d70... *scratches chin* what all do you have with it? BTW I'm selling the tokina 20-35 on ebay right now.. still have everything else.

ive heard the 828 has some major purple fringing and vignnetting though.. can anyone account for this?

I was thinking more like an even trade for everything--including the 80-200 2.8. :-) Actually, I'm not totally serious. I love the portability/take-anywhere compactness of the 828 without having to fiddle with a bunch of lenses.

Anyway, there is absolutely no vignetting, even with a filter at full wide angle (I routinely use a protection filter or a Hoya ND400, and have never seen vignetting). Purple fringing can be seen in some instances--usually in branches photographed against a bright sky. It's only visible at 100% magnification, and probably won't be visible in prints up to 11x14--at least not that I've seen w/ my camera. If it bothers you, it takes about 2 seconds to remove in Photoshop. Various actions are availble that selectively remove PF w/o affecting the rest of the photo.

oh ok cool. I'm not sure I would trade all that for JUST an F828... what all do you have?

02/22/2005 04:39:59 PM · #16

Would either of these work with the kit lens or Sigma 75-300 mm dl lens? I would love to add to my camera inventory!

I'm in need for some lens for my Nikon D70 but really wanted a 50 mm macro.

Is it the Nikkor 85mm f/1.8?
02/23/2005 02:27:26 PM · #22
Question. I'm really serous about getting a D70. How much would you sell just the body for? Also, how much would you want for the body + the 80-200mm lens?
02/24/2005 04:05:40 AM · #23
yes its a nikkor 85mm. for the body, battery and 80-200.. 800

I have the F717, my last camera was a Canon Powershot A70. The F717 is HUGE compared to the powershot. Why don't you keep the Nikon, and go for a smaller P&S which you can attach to your belt or something & therefore take everywhere with you.
02/24/2005 05:09:41 AM · #25
if i just got another camera i would practically never use the d70.. it happened like that with my 4x5 film camera and d70.. i think im goin with the new oly e300 evolt.. i used to have a F707 that fit in my pocket (yes i have big pockets) (and im not just happy to see you lol)
