sounds fine to me, that's why we all posted our pics here - to share, right? :)

LOL Yes...but I just want to make sure since she is not a DPC member. Just don't want to make anyone angry at me. :)

nice shots once again don, but let me add that the address is incorrect (you forgot the first t in deviantart).. took me awhile to figure out why the page wasn't working as it should!

awesome shots. i want to point out to others that you can click "deviation gallery" below his most recent uploads to see the thumbnails of all of them (i just discovered this today, and it makes things much easier if anybody else hasn't found it yet).

some of my favorites are the biker gang, and.. err.. for some reason it just stopped working all of a sudden, says "Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /hd/www/deviantart.com/shared/thumbs.lib.php on line 173". anyway, i'll check back later, but great shots so far!

don: i'd have to say that my favorites are definitely the bikers and comp51/52 (i think i prefer the b/w here, but not sure why). the bokeh on that lens is incredible. a lot of great shots, great color as well! are alexis and christina twins? they sure look like it.. and they're modeling (ie: the theme "boredom") quite well for the camera already!

arie: i think i liked 47 and 66 the best.. and.. hmm.. maybe 2. :P - 47 - i have no idea where you shot this.. i guess you just had an eye to line that one up.. the blue glow makes it look like there's a spaceship over the horizon ;). 66, now i wish i had stopped there (i saw you stopping there as i was leaving).. wonderful contrast between lively spring colors and the dead tree!

I love all of your photos. I went up the day after you guys, but it was REALLY windy and cold, so I couldn't get any nice macros or close-ups like you guys. The poppies wouldn't sit still for me. But I got some different shots that I kind of liked. Here's a few (not too many poppies):

Thanks Brian! The photo in 47 was taken on the walk down from that very high hill we all climbed. It was off to our left on the way down. I just cropped tight and brought up the contrast a bit to get the mountains so clear.

Telehubbie, your photos are amazing.. were did you go? I love those signs! I didn't see any of them!
03/20/2005 06:08:21 AM · #120
telehubbie, you have some very cool shots as well - lots of interesting signs/foreground.. i don't remember seeing any of that stuff (except maybe the tree?) along side the roads.. nice finds and images!

Thanks Brian and Arie, we didn't actually go inside the reserve. The line of cars to get in was out to the street, so we drove around on some dirt roads around the perimeter.

Marc,

Great shots! After shooting poppies for about 5 hours, it would have been nice if we had come across some props like you did.

Good job.

Arie, those are great shots, I am surprised that you saw a rattler, nice shots of it by the way.
03/21/2005 04:34:17 PM · #124
Fritz got VERY close to the rattler... i stood off side with a telephoto. Thanks for your compliment! I had such a great time!!!

LOL, I think I was giving the rest of the group fits, even though I was well outside strike distance and prepared to move fast! I did manage to get a good shot :-)
