Hello everyone, I'm quite new here in dpc, and there are still things I don't understand...

there is The Pain Challenge, i voted all pictures, but now as the results are here I see that my votes aren't in the statistic of the picture shown in red and neither in blue... (Voting Breakdown (your vote is highlighted in red)) and for one pic I gave the vote "1", and for this pic there was no vote 1 in the end result..
This is the first time it happens, last challenge my votes where all red...

Any Ideas why this happened ?

btw in the main result of the challenge it's written what I gave to each submition..

hope someone help me ;)

It is quite possible that your votes were not counted. How many votes of 1 did you give out?.

edit typo

It happens sometimes, it just means that it hasn't been updated yet. It will change soon :)

hum.. I gave some 1 votes.. but I gave also good votes to those who deserved it
but in my profile I still have : Avg Vote Cast: 3.4870

is there a minimum on 1 votes ?

There's no minimum or maximum on 1 votes per se - but if the system detects that you are voting in an unreasonable pattern certain votes will be discarded.

Judging from your 3.48 average vote cast I wouldn't be surprised if that is what is happening. Even if you aren't maliciously voting low (and I don't think you are - otherwise I highly doubt you would have made this post), that average vote is really dramatically low, which probably explains why this is happening.

DPChallenge has an automated system in place that reviews each user's voting patterns in each challenge. Certain voting patterns indicate a very high probability that the voter is trying to unfairly abuse or dirupt the voting system, and votes that fall into those patterns are ignored in the result calculations.

Please note that I am by no means accusing you of anything -- if you were trying to cheat, you probably would not call attention to it by posting this question. While I can't share the exact criteria used to make those decisions (both because that would make it easy for those who do wish to cheat to circumvent them, and because I'm not sure I know all of them), there are a couple things I might suggest to help your situation.

My best suggestion to you would be to look at your voting patterns and see if you need to make any adjustments. While I can't (even as a Site Council member) see you individual votes, I can offer a couple general suggestions.

First, make sure you are using the entire voting scale. On a 1-10 scale, you should expect your average vote cast to fall close to 5.5. Since you are over 2 full points below this, consider the possibility that you might be an overly tough grader, and you might need to adjust accordingly.

Second, please note the following from the challenge rules: If you feel a photograph deserves a vote of 1, 2 or 3, please include a comment with your vote explaining why you felt it deserved a "below average" score.

While it is not a requirement that you comment on your low-scoring entries, they are most useful to those who have the most to learn. If you truly feel our photography is so bad that half or more of us deserve votes of 1, 2 or 3, your considered and constructive comments on them should help us improve. If you are seeing something we are missing, please share that insight with us. If, on the other hand, you are missing something the rest of us are seeing, the process of commenting constructively (which forces you to spend extra time looking at each image) may help you to spot it.
