Hi I am trying to decide which picture to use on exhibition
With a group of photographers
We can all have 2 pics each
I have decided to have this picture

And one of thoose?

As you can see the theme is winter
What do you think?

Definitely one of the second two.....probably the last one.

Wow...tough choice. But I would have to say that I like "Out There" the best for a winter theme and to go with the dog photo. Those are so beautiful!!!! :o)

Heida:
Too much burn in on the second one.
"Out There" is awesome. It is up to your usual level of excellence

For what it is worth from a hack.

They are just Gorgeous Heida!!! 3 in the one that really hit hard for me! You are good!

how large are these images going to be displayed?
for a small format, i agree with most people that #3 is best, but for a large format (over, say, 16"x20") i think the first one is better. it's subtle in a way that doesn't work too well if it's small, but that i think would invite more prolonged looking if it were large.

ouch most people have told me I should use #1 or #2 and then you all say #3 hehe
they will be in the size of A3 (ca. 30*42 cm)

*edit I was thinking about using the first one and make it b&w or duetone to fit the dog picture... not sure though ..

I think the first one is the best as a single photo but to go with the dog photo the last one is clearly the best choice. I would use those two together exactly how you have them. Great work.

Dog photo is fantastic. The last of the bottom three is the best of that group as well. Probably also depends on which looks best in print!

I agree "out there" is my favorite.

If it's gonna hang next to the dog pic, it has to be "Out There"; no question about it. They'll have great synergy.

Robt.

#3 is a little overly-processed for me, and I would choose #1 or 2 first. But all are great beyond words!

My fave is #2, probably because I usually lean towards the dark side. I think it complements the ferocity of the dog shot. The theme is "Winter", the darkness seems apropos. Aren't you glad you asked?

Beautiful shots! I like the second one, and I think it goes well with the dogs.
Really wonderful work!

Crying for freedom is awesome.

With the dog being very dramatic, I think the more dramatic landscape in Out There would make the better companion image. The other two are great but the landscape is probably more common. Where the textured hills is more unique as is the dogs expressed emotion.

You got some great shots no matter what your final choice is.

Thank you for your opinions...
I think I am even more confused now :S
I am so unlucky to be in the Libra sign and everybody knows they cant make a decision!
:D

I have changed the first one to fit the dog picture
What do you think?

02/11/2005 06:15:54 AM · #19
I would suggest Out There, even after looking at the change below.

All the images are wonderful though so I reckon you could pick any.

My choice, without a doubt

I like the last two a lot but the Third is the best in my opinion...at least to go with the dogs shot which by the way to absolutly amazing. Good luck

I like the revision to On the mountain III but I still like Out There better.
