| i'm a novice photographer, and i was wondering if i could get some info on a few cheap digital cameras that cost $150 or under, preferably under $100. thanks for your help. |

Try checking out www.dpreview.com a site that was recommended to me by someone else here. It is an awesome site with everything you need to know about any camera you can think of. Check it out!

Hi Chrommonky!
Unfortunatley I don't have much intimate knowledge of cameras in the $150 range, but a quick search on www.pricescan.com popped up a number of cameras at or around that cost. I really like Canon cameras... the Canon PowerShot A10 is a little more expensive (the cheapest place I could find one online lists it for $164 plus shipping) but it's one of the few cameras in that price range that has a zoom lens, which is really useful. It also uses CF cards, the format I prefer. User reviews on www.dpreview.com are overwhelmingly favorable, as well! Check it out for yourself!

Find a couple models around the price ranger you want (even if they're a bit higher than it.)
1) Go to www.fatwallet.com regularly and do a price search (upper right corner.) They'll let you sort price by total best price (including tax and S/H)
2) Find a reputable site to buy from that offers it on sale, either get from them, or printout the page and go to Staples. If they have the model, they'll price match 110%. Fat Wallet also lists codes for discounts on major online stores.
3) www.half.com and www.ebay.com If you buy from either and the person has 95% + good feedback, then you should be good to go. |
