I am having a problem with printing images with the correct color balance. I am hoping to get different opinions on how this pphoto appears on your monitor.

Thanks in advance.

The color looks very natural on my monitor. Nice work, BTW. A gentle soft-focus effect would make this a real stand-out, IMO.

The color balance looks good to me, what color profile are you saving it as and what printer are you going to?

Maybe a little too much blue ? Just a little ... Look @ the teeth & the whites of the eyes . Granted , there's alot of blue goin' on with the eyes , suit and background but the hair could be a bit more yellow . Just a thought

Rick, that is a beautiful portrait indeed, well done!!!
Perhaps you could have it printed at a store, just to see what it looks like there and what you're aiming for.

Thanks everyone. The problem I am having is with commercial offset printing. I had this photo printed on a business card using the latest direct to press technology and the results were less than perfect. The skin tones looked almost grey. That is the best I can do to describe it. They tried to increase the magenta on the press but the skin tones changed very little. I know the press is calibrated right as i have seen other work printed on it and it is perfect. I am just trying to get to the bottom of the problem. Driving me crazy.

It's too cool (blue). I pulled it into PS and checked the shadows and highlights and evened them out. Here is a corrected version

This version looks a bit too warm, at least to me. I check both the whites of the teeth and the eyes and in both cases they are now every so shifed slightly into the red. In the original the where right on for white.

From the sounds of it there is more of a problem then just a slight color error, it sound like the mapping is getting messed up along the way somewhere.

I am not sure how much we can really tell looking at the photo on the web, we will be viewing it as a sRGB photo, most likely not what you are sending it to the printer as.
