Rain is a safe bet : )

If nobody's given a decent answer by tomorrow I'll ask the ex-weather forecaster at work who will no doubt give me an average conditions summary for the last 20 5th March's ... off the top of his head!

most definitely monday & tuesday, thank you! possibly weds, depending on how my itenerary develops (and as long as i'm not wearing out my welcome!)

but, i do have a couple questions, if someone would be so kind

1) how long does it take to get from central london to stonehenge?

2) how long does it take to get from central london to dover?

thanks!

Hey, I'm planning on going to Stonehenge too, maybe we can go together. Manic told me the best way to get there is a car since transport from Salisbury to Stonehenge is scarse. He said he might give me a lift ;). If you're intersted, let me know.!

Hotel is booked now - turns out the £8 cheaper one was the same hotel as the one near Tower Bridge that I was considering! Bargain : )

June ... this also means that we'll certainly be staying in the centre for some night shooting, and like Manic I'll offer the use of my tripod too if you decide not to bring yours.

Great! I arrive Friday evening. I was thinking of doing some night shooting that same night. Are you gonna be there then? If anyone else is intersted, please let me know! I guess I'll bring my tripod after all :)

Bobster, given driving conditions if you 4 want to come down on Friday night (and stay on my floor) you'd be welcome...

If not you'll have to leave quite early AM I guess to get in for our lunch meet...

Which show Bob? Thinks ... Billy Elliot must nearly be in technical by now ...

Very sharp!

Thanks for the offer Kavey, but my other half has to work Friday... and I teach until 9:00 on a Friday night :-(
The driving conditions should be fine though.

No probs...
What time you aiming to arrive?
We're aiming to leave our house a little before 11 am to ensure that we get down to Browns on time.
I'd suggest best option would be for you to come down to my house, park car there, and tube down into central london with us.
If you can't get there that early, I'd drive down, leave your car at the local tube station car park (Woodside Park is near me, or Central Finchley isn't far either) and you 4 can come into London and meet us as early as you are able to.

Crumbs, I'm not sure, I guess we'll decide nearer the time. Sounds like a good plan though.

BTW could you email me back the list of hotel ideas I sent as I forgot to keep a copy and someone else asked me for that info too...

Bobster, I'm assuming you and your lady are still staying in my spare room?

Skip, you're staying with me after the weekend aren't you?

Chiqui, have you decided yet whether you're going for my air mattress on a floor somewhere or in a hotel in town?

Anyone else staying at my place that I should be reminded about?

I've booked a hotel near Victoria Station. I waited way too long and my favorite hotel was already booked. I hope we can still hang out though!

The word from my man is "Outlook for around 5-10 March: Slightly cooler than average. Precipitation also slightly less than average".

TheWeatherOutlook has a lot of long range forecasts, including this one for the South-East which looks quite promising. Accuracy for over a week ahead is likely to be questionable though.

June, I hope so! Otherwise how I can we do Indian food and go to the Sweet Mart for jalebis? You'll need to let me know which evening you have free that you can come and visit...

Well, I suppose all my evenings will be free....sigh....LOL. Do you still wanna do the Camdem (sp?) Market thing prior to lunch on the 5th? I wanna take do daytrips on the 6th and 7th but nothing is written in stone. I arrive friday at 1730 or so. I suppose I'll take a train to Victoria Station, drop my bag and head out to find a place for dinner and then maybe do some night photography, depending on how tired I am. It would be great if I had a buddy for this endevour.....looks at skiprow.....or not. My whole purpose of going to London was to meet you, remember? It just so happens that there's also a GTG. Can't wait till friday!!!!

June,
I'd love to have some company! I'm getting in Sat morn, and am schedule to go to Dublin Sunday morn, back to London Monday pm, and am staying until Thursday morning. I have nothing much in mind except to shoot morning, noon, and night. How long are you around?

Like I said, I arrive Friday at 1730 and leave Tuesday late in the morning. This will be my third time in London and the more I think about the more places I realize I haven't seen and want to. Can you believe I've never actually been inside Westminster Abbey and never even seen Harrods???? I wanna do daytrips but it just may be that I won't have time. So much to do so little time!

I'm quite unusual for a Londoner in that I've actually seen some of the tourist attractions... mostly by being taken by my parents when I was a kid. I've never seen Westminster Abbey though. Now that I don't live in London, the tourist attractions look more... well... attractive.

June, Skip...
I'm going to propose Monday evening as an evening at my house/ in my area (north london). Chiqui we can do Indian this night if you like? Anyone else in town is welcome to come up too...
Would this work for both of you or do you have other plans for the Monday evening?
