Fun times in the cold! She was a trooper. Really fun gal.

Here are a few of my faves:

You seem to know your way with lighting even under extreme circumstances. Very cool. Great model too, she seems to be able to pose without 'posing', if you know what i mean.

I like the first one with the sun in the background the best. All very nice

GREAT! Really good lighting. I'd have never guessed these were taken with a rebel. Any post processing?

In the second shot her neck has disappeared but that's my only critique. The first one is my fave.

Damn these are good!!

I am very impressed and very frustrated all at the same time. Impressed because the lighting, poses, and composition is great in every one of those. Frustrated because I thought I was improving and now all of my stuff looks weak in comparison.

I'm going to go back and browse through again a little more slowly so I can enjoy them. I'll leave comments on the individual images.

Exactly. The lighting in that shot is the best I've ever seen in an outdoor portrait. Phenomenal. Just...wow.

all of these are great--love the lighting, love the lens flares too. :)

i like that your model is obviously very comfortable in front of the camera, she poses effortlessly and comes across as very natural. nice work!

Hans,
Would you mind telling us which lense you used for these.
They are spectacular.

Kieran.

Incredible work. What light sources were used?
01/31/2005 05:19:26 PM · #13
Great photos and a sensational model (just love her stomach!). The first, fourth (my very favourite) and last ones are my favourite, but they are all great.

Really good work with the lighting, to say the least.

How did you do the outdoor ones, maybe use #4 as an example. The lighting looks studio quality, but it is outside (presuming there is not a photoshop component here.

The first one is wonderful and so is also the second to last.
I'm not so sure about the lens flare in two of the outdoors ones.
Good luck and POST MORE!!

I really like all of them, especially the outside ones. The cutest one is the pink "bebe" one (why don't you enter it in this week's member contest?). Only one thing bothers me, the expression in the next to last photo seems a little unnatural. The rest of these are excellent! How many different shoots did you do?

To the OP, sorry I had to convert your pics to links. Some fantastic work there! Out of consideration to those on slow connections, and for those who pay based on bandwidth, please do post either links or thumbs. Thanks.

The outside shots were done by exposing for the sun (F22 at 1/250) and then using a studio strobe to light the model. I almost didn't have enough power for such a small aperture! The only photoshop in those was standard blemish removal, a touch of saturation and a touch of USM.

Thanks all for the kind words! They mean a lot. I'm still experimenting to get better!
