The cookie can't do it, because most people (including myself) don't allow 3rd party cookies. We are, however, considering some code to add to all links between the sites that would log you in. It's worth nothing, though, that once you log in and save yourself (with the cookie checkboxes) on both sites, you should be able to very easily go back and forth on future visits.

I have IrfanView, but have only used it for reducing/rotating files. Please let us know which setting you find optimum for re-sampling up, as I'm starting with only 1600 pixels...

Click on Image, Resize/Resample. Use the Lanczos filter, and set the size you want. You can specify a certain DPI and image size in inches, or just the pixel size you want. From a site I was looking at that was comparing resampling software, they thought the Lanczos algorithm was almost as good as Genuine Fractals. The difference is IrfanView is free and Fractals costs quite a bit of money.

It would be nice if we could upload one large image for prints, then could set some "approved" crop sizes for different aspect ratios. It would be easier if I wanted to offer a print at 8x10 and 11x14, to just upload one image.

Our current billing structure for prints does not allow for us to offer PayPal payments. We will, however, pursue it as an option, though I would not expect it in the immediate future.

I already have a daprints account to sell prints, but I'm interested in the dp challenge accounts because they allow panoramic sized prints which I have an interest in...

My Questions are:

Is the only fee for an account, the one year membership fee associated with dpchallenge, will there ever be any other fees to have a printing account? What happens when your one-year membership ends, will you no longer have a print account?

The only fee you pay is for your membership, which gives you the ability to sell prints, the ability to enter members challenges, the ability to buy your own prints and gift items, and a 10mb portfolio, as well as a few other bonuses. Your prints will remain on the site through the duration of your membership. You'll need to maintain that membership to continue selling your prints. Hope to see you there soon!

I was just wondering if the "browse" option could be a little more obvious, it took me a while to find it at the bottom of the page

My dear Drew

Let's say I have 3 prints that just got approved... now I click on the 1st one, add my prices.... now I'm back on DPC and no quick way to get back to DPCPrints into the "my prints" folder to add my second photo. Am I missing something?

Also, I noticed on DPCPrints that you have a quick link back to DPC in your top blue menu... would it be possible to add a quick link from DPC to DPCP? :-)

Ahhhh the demands you have to endure from your members!! ;-)

Try looking in your browser's recent history list for the portfolio page where you have the thumbnails...you should be able to re-set yourself to be able to edit the next photo in one click-hold/drag/release operation.

I think the suggestions you made are probably on the to-do list anyway...

Hmmm...just noticed -- in the left frame there's usually links to your portfolio folders. Can you click on the link of the folder the next image you want to edit is in?

Whenever I greet my mother like this, she always says, "what do you want?" ;)

On all of your print pages, you'll see a message that says, "To edit your selling options for this print, click here." Follow that. The better answer is that no, we don't have a great way to do it yet.

Yes, very soon! :)

... And now my favor request to you... change your titles on your uploaded prints! :)

LOL!! Ya I noticed that my 3 last prints had my "file name" on it... woops! :-) I'll upload them again with a snappy title!

Another question for you... I have a print in my store that I want to print but I don't want in my store. How do I remove it from my store but keep it in my prints?

Where you set your prices, uncheck 'available' on all the print sizes for that print.

At least one user has uploaded a "family" picture for a friend to order prints. Could we have a ( )Family Photo option to tag photos which will be available to the public (friends and family) but excluded from ordinary promotional features, like listing on the "New Prints" display.

I don't plan to upload anything someone shouldn't be able to print, but I don't mind those photos being substantially ignored by the general browsing public either.

I would LOVE this option.

Apologies, I know this has been posted somewhere but I can't find it.
What size, or more importantly ratio, are the wallet size prints?

Cheers.

2.5 x 3.5", which translatest to a 1.40:1 ratio. Also, since this is only available to you to buy for yourself, if your image does not match the 1.40:1 ratio, you'll be offered the option of a crop or fit when you select a wallet print.
