I was out and about the other day and took some pics. Thought I might share a few that i have worked on. Sorry if they are a bit grainy on your monitor. I wanted to run them through some noise software but ran out of time and wanted to post them anyway, Here they are...

I have B&W conversions of the landscapes in my port if anyone wants to look at them as well.

These are some Rams i found wandering on the mountain side. These are not zoo animals, these are very wild big horn sheep.

Oh! Would I love to be able to wonder around there--just beautiful photos. To cold in NYC right now to go wandering. Exactly where is this wandering landscape?

All the pics were taken the same day about 30-40 miles away from my home. The location is between Cody WY, and Yellowstone National Park.

As far as post processing, that is a secret I must keep to myself =)

Na, i am kidding. It really can't be explained to much though. I start with the basic levels after I played with the image a bit when converting it from RAW. I never really use the same rules or guides. I just play with them to taste. I have started to get into making my images look a bit more like paintings. I know some don't like to loose the realism so I try to find a fine line between them. I then "paint" with dodging and burning to try to bring out what my eye saw when I took the shot. Selective color plays a big role in my post processing. I adjust every color channel. I usually add magent. and yellow to warm up the image. then play with the blues to change the sky and other things. Then I add in black and take out some white to help with contrast. Sometimes i go in to certain colors to add more saturation too. but all in all, it is just me playing around to no set rules =).

Hope this helps some.

Wonderful shots, and I am glad someone asked where they were taken, as I was wondering that myself. (This is EXACTLY why I like to see peeps put their location in their profile.)

I know the area, worked in Meteetse, Cody and also Shoshoni many years ago.

Anyway, amazing work, hope to see more.
