My Town

I started this project at the end of December, 2003, and the mosaic of 90 photos is now complete. This is actually an ongoing project, but the initial phase of it is finally finished. This series covers people, places, and things that define what my town is and what it will be. This Pbase folder contains all these images along with my documentation of each...

congrats! I remember when you started it. I really like how the mosaic turned out!

I'll have to spend some time going through each picture to get more insight into each one.

Wow, that's beautiful, John, I wish I could see it really big. Congratulations on finishing it, it must have been fun.

And, since I'm the lazy kind, I wish you'd have a version of the poster where I could click on the little picture and see the larger version of the little picture :) Just in case you have nothing else to do.

Well done. A great cross section of your town and is very effective in black and white. It would make a neat addition to a High School Yearbook.

It's funny because I was looking through your portfoilo earlier today and was thinking that I would like to look at each one of those photos individually. Well I just did and enjoyed every minute of it. Great stuff.

I agree absolutely, in fact when I read of this project a few weeks ago I told myself that it would be worth doing one for my village. I have the first 3 in the bag so I'm some way off ;-)

Thanks for the inspiration John, great work and good to see the finished article.

It has to feel good to finish a project of this size that spans so much time as well. Congrats John. It looks great.

this series has really inspired me. Great work capturing the details of a small town that often go unnoticed.

What a great idea, I would love to do one from Sylt, the island I am from... would that e considered as stealing your idea?

I love your result, excellent!

It's not 'my' idea... I hope that anyone who wishes would do the same project in their town. I think you will find lots of lasting inspiration from it...

I may have to do one for my little one-horse town now. And what a great way to get photos for my PaD! Excellent work, Setz. :o)

Some of these shots are PAD entries for me as well. It's a separate project but they go together well :)
