outakesI could not submit this to the challenge because of network problems at my end. I hope I could have done better than ever before!
What do you think??

When viewed in the large version that would be the size viewed on this site for voting, this photo went all crazy out of whack. I mean, looked ok in the thumbnail, but it really lost something when it got blown up big. That's probably an upload thing though, however on to the photo.
I felt that the string tying them together was a bit of a desperate try to get them to all stay on top of the platform. I loved the colors. Maybe a little more variety. There seem to be alot of yellows. I can't really say much more about it cause of the distortion. Let me know if you get a really clear large version, and I will try again.

I like the colors for sure and the framing is great. You definitely used the rule of 3rds. I think that's what it's called. The picture does seem a bit out of focus though, not bad. The lighting is good, but did you try to soften it, by putting something over the light to make it not so bright? I really like the shadowing. Hope this helps.

I like it, Nice colors. In my opinion i would of tried to soften the light some and get a little sharper focus.

I got one I just cant wait until next week to ask for some comments on. I really like this one but was afraid to submit it because of the abstractness of it (abstractness, is that a word?). Outtake

Sanandan, I like the picture a lot. It's bright and has an interesting composition, I think it would score about a 6 with me, which means for me, "Photos that hold some attraction, reasonably taken, somewhat interesting subject matter".

Taylor
Love it, and would have scored either a 6 or possibly a 7, "Photos I like, that attract me, nicely taken, interesting subject matter".

For my own taste there is too much color in that one or they should be more soft. Or maybe different 'range' of color for the pencils and the .. plat.
However I like the framing a lot.

Thankyou all for your replies. This is what I infer from the feedback that I got (uptill now):
Soften the lights
Try a different palett of colors
The pencils need to be sharp

I will try and improve on the shot and post it again. Thanks once again!!

Taylor, I like the picture. I like the color, the framing except ... just on the right of the picture .. like the glass background. We see just a little the end of it.
I have a tendency to think that, if you want to break the symetry, then it should be a little more in the picture, not just a 'hair' .. I think like this it looks more like you dod not see it or it was not intentional. I am not sure (what do other thinks about that : Globally we should not have like a 1/20 of an object inside or outside ... it looks misframed) ....
Was it intentional Taylor ?
Be careful with the reflection ( we can see a window ) ....

Do not want to be picky ... but I guess you want comments.
Other than that I like it , I like the colors a lot.

The shadow looks like the Statue of Liberty. Was that on purpose?

The pencil is behind the glass ball. The black spot in the middle is the tip of the pencil and the yellow around it is the outside of the pencil. :)

Thanks sonifo and kavey.

Lionel, That little end of the backround would of not been in the final composition, its Just an outtake. But I do have some people that want one printed and framed. Also, I didnt notice the window thanks for pointing that out. ya can also see the the light, I woulod of also got rid of that for the final comp.

Gracious, Im not going to tell you what is is just yet (next week). The pencil is in the center of it just the end though, the yellow came from the pencil.
Next week i'm going to post the rest of my outtakes I dont want to give away my entry. Thanks for the comments!
