I have off until the 18th and I really want to go somewhere new. I'm sick of taking photographs inside my house and of the same few places in my area. I must see the world while I have the chance. Anyone in desperate need of a visitor and photography partner for a few days?

I'd love to go shooting with such a great photographer... shame we're nowhere near each other! If you ever come to England, I'd definitely take you up on the offer.

JP:

I'm on Cape Cod and I have a spare bedroom that's yours if you want it.

Bobster: I've never been to England but man would I love to go. I don't know anybody there so it's unlikely that I'll make it anytime soon but if I do I'll be sure to look you up.

Thamer: Man, that's a long drive to make by myself... but warm does sound good...(looking up airline tickets now....)

Robert: Cape Cod I can get to! What a sweet offer. Keep that spare bedroom vacant and we'll be in touch...

Thanks for the warm response everyone. Maybe I can hop place to place. Fly, drive, walk, swim...what's the difference?

Drop me a line if you get out to the left coast Jason.
San Diego is a pretty neat place, though right now it sucks - cold and the rain won't stop (except for this past Saturday).

I can offer you an amazing geographical and photographical target, but if Tampa is too far for you, I can imagine what you're going to say about my offer...

Israel is an amazing country with some really beautiful sites.
If you (or anyone else for that matter!) ever get around - drop a word.
You are more then welcome!

Brad: I love San Diego! I was living out in Santa Barbara for a while and made it down there once. Absolutely lovely place to live.

hmmm...roundtrip to Tampa about $150...of course for about $60 dollars more I could get to England...

thinking...

damn Jinjit! Israel would be amazing but I don't have thousands to spend on plane tickets at this point. :(

JP,

For what it's worth, I am a San Diego native who retired "backwards" to Caoe Cod out of sheer visual boredom. While it's a fine town with a wonderful climate, the weather is so good it's pathetic; every day, for long stretches, the same damned thing day after day, day without end.

Plus in the summer months, every day would begin with an overcast sky (due to temperature differentials between water and land), which would burn off between 11 AM and noon, leaving only the late afternoon to find "interesting" light.

Being a landscape photographer by inclination, I craved variety in my skies :-) Out here on this sandbar in the atlantic, skies R us.

Hey Jason, why not trek to the other side of the continent to the Great Northwest. I guarantee you will get a photo of a bald eagle or two in their natural habitat!

When you're done globetrotting, you're only about an hour's drive from my place. ;-)

~LOL~ and to think that it is exactly the same idiotic reason that prevents me from going to the States... I think we just give too much weight to un-important reasons such as money
Oh well, there is no limit date to the offer at time point.
Enjoy your vacation!

True indeed! and I do intend to eventually meet all you folks in the future.

I meant more in terms of close relatives that would want to see me badly enough to cover the airfare :)

I'm not picky. There are plently of hotspots around the area. Muhuwahahaha! I'll be in D.C. this weekend, but otherwise I can usually make some weekend time. Ironically, one of the most scenic areas around me is Devil's Den!

Well if you've got a grand or two there's some pretty nice scenery down under.

Where else do landscape shots come complete with giant-footed hopping rats :P.
