Well 14 hours into this challenge and no one has started this thread yet?

I have fallen steadily from around 6.6 from the first time I looked. I may be suffering from the "not quite candid enough" syndrome that has been discussed in another thread. My image is definitely candid... the person was surprised when they saw me with my camera and then gave me a nice rebuke for snapping their photo. I apoligized and promised them a copy of the image, which seem to calm them a bit.
I could have improved my image pretty simply, except I forget which challenge was which and stuck to basic editing instead of advanced. I guess I am getting forgetful...

My submission does what it usually does. Its score moves up and down. Although I feel it's a worthy image, I don't think it's good enough to quite have a life and soul. Thus I cannot truly say how it is.
I, for my part, am doing fine.

i was at a 6.5ish then i got hit by a couple of 1s and 2s all at once, now im at a 6.2
I am very happy with the score, its a great way to start the new year especially with my ny resolution sitting at a 5.9 |

First time I've been genuinely disappointed with my score... I sort of expected it - for some it may look staged, though I assure them it was not. Sad thing is I think it's clearly the best image I've submitted and I'm sitting at 5.5xx.
On the bright side my new years resolution is at 6.6 - so that eases the disappointment :P. |

Same here around 2 or 3 hours ago the one's and two's started so not knowing if they were placeholders or actual votes. I turned off my "view vote" in my preferences. So I don't know what my score is and don't expect to turn it back on. I will wait till the challenge ends. |

I started really high 6.6 at 10 votes, but dropped like a rock down to 5.6 now.

But I don't mind I gambled and it did not pay off.
