Why do you hate it? Do you hate "it" or the way it looks on you? I'm curious, 'cause I have toyed with the idea of one of these.

Those photo vests just scream "DORK!"

LOL!! That is kind of what I suspected, but you know how it is, most of us are always trying to figure out a way to carry all this stuff!

Merry Christmas all!!!

I for one bought a 50mm 1.8 with my Christmas bonus.

I also had my parents in town for two weeks :-)

(plus many wonderful presents from "Santa"...I'm 24 but Santa still makes the trip to my house each year...God bless us, everyone!)

Good choice!

That can be a blessing or a curse. Usually a bit of both.

Lucky girl.

I got to play Santa though. At least I didn't get stuck in the chimney this year.

I for one enjoy Christmas because it gives me opportunity to share some quality time with my family and friends. I get time to relect as to just how lucky an individual I am to have been blessed to such an extent, and how fortunate I have been over the years.

I had a book (Apple Computer) made from a selection of shots to give away this year. In return, I got a few days to play among waves and eagles at Pacific Rim National Park. This was a refeshing change from chasing gators and birds among the azaleas in Florida.

And no, I don't wanna do polar bears in the New Year. All I wanted was a little time and no subject but the ones I can find without an agenda.

There's a chair I haven't photographed yet, somebody's aunt... Even that crack in the ceiling could be composed by someone less thought of than I. :-)

I got an Oehoeboeroe personalised Sony CD alarm Clock.
About the holy owl Oehoeboeroe. (Site isn't updated in the last four years)

I am a member of that Oehoeboeroe Society -ICONE- (We defend the name of the owl like those guys in Indiana Jones defended the secret of the holy grail. We have influenced TV and Radio organisations. Nobody messes with our wise owl. On Usenet there are about 40.000 messages that discuss this matter. Our influence even goes right into the Vatican.
The sound of Oehoeboeroe is hard to get. There is some vinyl (LP) material, but not much is digitalized.
My dad managed to get me the sound of Oehoeboeroe on CD and a CD alarm clock. So from now on I get up each morning with Oehoeboeroe.

My dad is the best dad in the whole wide world (WWW)!

Oehoeboeroe!

Photos look awesome coming out of this and it spits full page photos out in just a few seconds. I'm very impressed.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Photography stuff, I got a box containing a piece of paper that said "what has three legs but can't walk" and I rolled my eyes and looked at my wife and said "duh!" and then I kissed her and said thanks! My 3021pro (in badass black) will be here this week...

Of course, my sweetie didn't know that a tripod needs a head but she said to go ahead and get one of those, too! What a great gal!

Other stuff, photographically:
- Henri Cartier-Bresson calendar
- 512MB CF card
- card reader
- An issue of Petersen's Photographic (what a great magazine!)

Also got a bunch of other little stuff...my favourites were a cigar guillotine and a couple of gift certificates to Chapters Bookstore.

I've already went online and ordered Bob Dylan's "Chronicles I", Lee Frost's "Photos that Sell" and Kenneth Turan's "Never coming to a theatre near you"...can't wait!

My wonderful husband wrapped a photo of NY, then told when I opened it that he's going to take me on a mini-vacation (sans little kiddo's) anywhere in the U.S. that I'd like to go.

So maybe New York city, or Rapid City, South Dakota or .... who knows

Any suggestions for fantastic photo-op vacation spots anyone?

Hope you all had a wonderful, special day! :-)

Merry Christmas to all (and soon "to all a good night")

I thought I did well playing Santa to myself a couple of weeks ago and getting the new D-70 and lens. But I got to have both my sons and my daughter in law up for an overnighter, watched them all open great presents and then was surprised to have them all give me an X-Box!!! The last thing I expected. I'm 54 and have found out I have no eye hand coordination.> LOL!

Must have been a run on the 3021BPro. I also received one this Christmas. I had a good chuckle when I read an earlier post about it being "badass". That is exactly what I said when I opened it this morning. It was paired with a 488RC2 Midi Ball Head. Together, they are extremely badass.

Santa also brought a Sigma 1.4 APO Teleconverter to get me a little closer to the birds who have been driving me crazy this year.

On the other end of the process... I received a Logan Model 750 40" mat cutter. I'm really looking forward to giving that a try. Although things that come with an "instructional video" worry me a bit.

For inspiration I got a National Parks Calendar and a century of photos book.

I got a lot of other really cool non-photography related items. The highlights being DOOM 3, Half Life 2, and the worlds most awesome alarm clock. This thing can wake the dead. Not only was it designed for the hearing impaired so it's super loud but it has the ability to flash your room lights on and off and has a small puck you put in bed with you and when it's time to get up it vibrates like crazy. There is no way I will ever oversleep again!!!!!

Of course, if you don't hear from me again it means the alarm clock gave me a heart attack tomorrow morning.
