I have a couple questions about the basic editing.

1) I've made changes to my picture (saving the orig) and I don't have the exif information anymore. Did I do something wrong and is it needed in the submission. (the orig has it of course) Just wondering what I did that made it go away.

2) I read through the basic rules and don't think I broke any, here is what I did to the whole image (not listed in order):
crop
resize
canvas size (to add border)
hue
saturation
lightness
brightness
unsharp mask

Once you modify the file, it won't have the original exif anymore. As long as you still have the original, which will contain the original exif, you're fine. Save that in case we request it.

Your modifications look fine, provided that you did them all the the entire image and not to specific selections/spots.

As long as you did those to the whole picture you should be OK.

The entry does not need the EXIF info -- only the original, and only if your photo needs to be validated and you are asked to upload it.

I usually do all the other editing first, and then add canvas for the border as the very last step. Otherwise you can get some weird effects (mostly from the USM).

Cool, super fast responses. I'm all set. Mods were done to whole image and I agree about the border comment. (just learned that tonight)

Thanks!
