Ditto. My score has gone up about .3 in the past 24 hours.

I agree 100%. I think I have received some of the most thoughtful comments to date during this challenge. Maybe all that yellow is making people warm and fuzzy on the inside. Bravo and thanks to all you commenters!

I really don't know anything about photography, I just take shots that I think might seem interesting...I think I have a natural feel for composition, I just wish I knew a little more about technique so I wouldn't get bad lighting or focus problems.

I wish more people would comment, though, 'cause I'm a newb about photography and I'd like to hear what people think about my shots >_<

You can always PM the commenter about the color being off comment and express your newness and ask for advice. Or post a question in the Forums and see what you learn.

I hope people do not get discouraged with low scores. I thought I had a pretty good photo and it would get good votes and it has from some of the comments. If you are at 5.0 and you go down into the 4s, then you know someone is rating you low. I think that this competition is like writing where you never try to proof read what you wrote, let someone else read it and explain to you what you were trying to explain. I have no one to review my photos before I submit them, so I have to take what I get. This is a learning experience for me and I have learned a lot

Well....blurry eyed from voting and commenting. About 2 hours worth, and saw some excellent pics. Some average, nothing bad or terrible. A few too small...PLEASE check your pic and if you need help making it bigger ASK! If i cannot see the pic, i cannot possibly score it well or fairly!

I did 96 votes and 44 comments. (24% and 11% respectively). I am whooped. I'd like to vote on them all, but I feel compelled to commnen on so many that i my not have enought time or stamina to finish.

No comments. Must be a pretty mundane shot. On the upside, technically, it must be ok, because someone would have surely jumped on that.

not so happy still thinking ppl. need to get a diff. outlook when voting if the shot is art, i think ppl. just don't understand that sometime CRAZY as it may sound ppl. do things on purpose that may not be the tech. way to do things or may not normaly look good but if it makes the shot than it makes the shot there's alwaysa reason for why something is done so-lighten up ppl.

if this whole site where a movie it would be something to the affect of "White Chicks" a movie with no cinmagraphic quality but good TECHNICALLY as aposed to "Citizen Cain" a movie with every cinmagraphic beauty and loads of mistakes as well as some great tech. parts.

this is art comon'........i can't belive i just compaired "citizen cain" and "white chicks" i think i've said everything i need to say now if u don't get it now after the challenge there will be a rant thread and i will cut loose there....

-u ppl. are amazing-

Comments are mostly positive, except maybe one that I don't understand (I can't see the "shadow" they were talking about).

I haven't been monitoring the score for the most part, except a couple times when I took big drops (leading me into the 4's), it was clear that I am getting more than my share of 1's and 3's. (And my photo clearly has a main subject which is yellow, so I don't really understand that.)

Hmmm... someone said it looks green, but the color values in it are only yellow. Does everyone have a calibrated monitor that is calibrated to dislike my picture????

It looks like the scores are overwhelmingly low for Yellow. Who's over 6?

just maybe if nobody 'gets' the artistic value of what you were trying to do...you didn't do it very well?

Uhh, 5.74 is doing well! Average score for challenges is 5.1 to 5.3 (some lower, very few higher).
