The 6 is so close, but lots of time left. There were alot of great entries in this one.
I was wondering if we could combine the next 2 challenges...it could be called "Broken Wind" Hehehehe! I know that stinks. But I bet some of ya smiled!

OK, only one thing to do: we'll have our own little private competition. Whoever gets the lower score buys the first round the next time they are in the same town.

And, don't laugh, I'm like Santa. You never know where I'll show up. Taking some shots in your beautiful country seems a good use of a vacation day or two... |

You have my highest respect. Kudos to you for taking the time to gain knowledge (so what if your reason is to win a ribbon). I think we all would be pleased to see our name at the top of the list. I know I want to get better (score and otherwise) with every picture.

Expensive drinks are a good price to pay for taking a bad picture. And, after looking at your port, I'm thinking we should be pretty even. Either way, it'll make me think twice next time before I post another "Swissssh" or "Midnight Real Estate.".

Mine's not even a 4 anymore....it was doing a lot better earlier on. Oh well, it's my first challenge, I'm not terribly concerned with it (especially considering I just grabbed my camera and shot exactly one picture and slipped it in at the last mintue)

heh, try getting ideas in the middle of the night after coming home from (far too many) drinks (even if the beer is horribly expensive) at your fav pub and shooting something AND posting it. this is what happens when you're 5 hrs ahead of the server time. You end up with a well deserved bottom 3% - and, interestingly, my 5th most viewed image!

hahaha... this is hilarious.
I mean, I knew I didn't put a great pic and also some can complain it doesn't meet the challenge; but I never thought I could win the brown ribbon, I guess this is my time to win something hahaha...

| This is my very first challenge and I feel fantastic. I have had the good fortune of viewing some unbelievable photos in DPC and consider myself absolutely fortunate to be here. Yes I do have a low score, but this was anticipated. I have to date but 2 comments, but I can assure you that I found both very helpful. Stated succinctly, my endeavour is to learn and I do believe that I have selected the perfect forum to do just that. Thank you all. |

I'm happy with this so far on only my third challenge !! I'm always on limited time so it's just a challenge to get one submitted ! It did start off on 5.7, so i'll be pleased if it stays over 5 !

True, true. Sadly, my entry seems to be falling into this category. I didn't use a bright, true yellow in my image. It certainly wasn't my intention for people to interpret it as orange or brown - but that seems to be a common reaction. Oh well. Whatcha gonna do? :-) |

Remember what the challenge rules stated..yellow had to lead the impact..so people with take that for exactly what it says. Some will interpet it to mean something else..Why? I have no clue. I just feel when someone puts something in writing. They mean what they say. So when I read the challenge..I took what it said literally..SURE! Yeloow can be interpeted in many differnt ways. I almost entered this shot..well it was kind of ceedy...It was a shot of a beer sitting on the edge of vanity..in the background...someone was taking a leak...get it...yeloow re-visited...but after careful thought I said a lot of people are going to go....ewwwwwww...so I went safe.
Best score so far on DPC..good vote to viewer ratio..Notice only 1 comment...makes me feel good people aren't trashing it totally.
