Tina Faust (tfaust) did DPC proud today (December 4, 2004) with an opening of nearly 30 of her prints displayed at a month long gallery showing at Boyce Arboretum near Superior, Arizona USA.

Way to go, Tina!

Here is the proud photo artist and husband Daryl (louddog) showing off her works at the opening:
________

Almost every print was custom mounted and double matted by Tina. Daryl custom built the frames and Tina stained them. Matting and framing was selected to match the prints. The technical quality of both images and framing is as good as any I have ever seen in other galleries.

You can see all the images she selected for her showing on PBase at:
//www.pbase.com/tfaust/show_selections

BTW, framed and unframed prints are available for purchase.

Congrats to Tina!

I was thrilled to see Tina's beautiful work. The open
ing seemed to be a great success, she had a very large turnout in spite of the nasty weather. I want to thank Steve for inviting Paulina and I to ride along with him. I enjoy being the passenger sometimes.

Barbara

PS, I will have that contest pic loaded soon Steve.

Congratuations Tina! this is really cool. Too bad it opened AFTER I left. Was there some kind of conspiracy? I hope your exhibition does well!

Hey, how does one go about getting an exhibition, anyway?

Here is the candid I took of Tina and Darryl. not as professional as Steve's, but maybe more relaxed.

Barbara, perhaps if you upgrade from that cheap Canon EOS-10D your pictures would be better. ;) (Or maybe just Photoshop a bit more :) )

Thanks everyone! Thanks also to Steve, Barbara and Paulina for coming out to the show despite the inclement weather. It was great having your support!

The frames are as much of the artwork in the show as the images and Louddog received a lot of well deserved comments/compliments on his fine work. Thanks Honey for all of your hard work and support!!!

It was a conspiracy I think... it's too bad it couldn't have been while you were here. It's really too bad we didn't get to meet... We were very disappointed about that. Daryl and I are thinking about a trip up to the Page area (for Antelope Canyon and the Wave) in March - how about during Spring Break??? You game?

For the exhibition - I just asked. We had seen another photographer displaying there, so I wrote to them and asked if I could as well. They had a spot to fill in December, so after sending them some of my work and signing a contract here I am. :-)

congratulations. sounds like lots of work went into your display - that's something in and of itself to be proud of.
