Amy (buzzmom), I feel your pain.
It took me a long time to pluck up the courage to comment, and right away I was in trouble.
I comment a lot less now, since pretty much everytime someone has a go at me for it, so see - you're not alone.

I wish we had an optional button under each submission that means:
"I am very delicate, don't say anything slightly negative whatsoever or I'll cry"
It would make it easy to stay away from the complainers but still give others who want them the benefit of comments.

LOL - great suggestion, only I'd have worded it differently, but then I'd get PM'd about that. ;-)

Maybe we should have a preference that choses:
1) I have thick skin and seriously want your comments, good or bad
or
2) I can't take the heat, please just vote and don't comment (unless its a good job comment).
(LOL)
:)

LOL...
how about:
1) I am supremely arrogant and will come down on you like a ton of bricks if you dare suggest that my photo is flawed in any way. Can't you see it's perfect, and that it's everyone else who can't use a camera?

2) Although I think I'm a good photographer, I can always get better and welcome any other viewpoints that might help me to see beyond my own limited vision.

Over at OEDILF, where we are critcizing each other's writing, the User Preferences include a pop-up menu of types of editing suggestions desired:

That General is one hell of a good idea. Certainly could be put to good use in this venue.

Writing limericks is almost always useful. I claim no originality for that system though, it was well-established when I joined that site on Christmas. If you like clever and humorous writing, check it out.

Wow - that's cool General! Here's my weak attempt:

Buzzmom thought she made some helpful remarks
But the recipient foams at the mouth as he barks
He PM's her with malice
and cold-hearted callous
Now Amy feels as if she's swimming with sharks!

:)

oooh ooh - second verse (Ken's getting into this):

The comments she left made the person see red
Now buzzmom wants to keep the bag on her head
But she's gotten advice
That her comments are all nice
So just tell them to simply drop dead

More limericks here...

I haven't been elevated to Editor status over there, but while you've got the rhyme scheme OK, you're trying to cram too many syllables into lines 1/2/5, and in some the stresses fall in the wrong place. In the ideal limerick, you have what's called "anapest" meter, with two unstressed syllables followed by one stressed one. Lines 1/2/5 have three sets of these, lines 3/4 have two. The most common adaptation is to leave off one of the stressed syllables at the beginning of lines 1/2/5.

At least we'll have physical verification that one exists.
