it was freezing this morning, but being the last day here, i didn't want to waste it.

feedback, please: do you prefer more foreground or more sky, vert or horiz?

from the first 3, I like #2 the most. #1 is ok, but #3 seems quiet weird with too much of water in front.
Fog, Giving Way to Morning: its a very nice shot, but the horizon is a little too high for my taste
Fog Rising: I like the exposure here..very nice capture of reflection in water and sky both...

I would say the choice of landscape or portrait, and lower or higher horizon is not a choice of preference but of what best suits your intentions with each particular image. But this is all good work, generally; I'm not sure about the extent of clipped highlights in some of it - you go, for my taste, too far toward white which makes it feel that you're out of control, rather than showing exactly what you want.

I particularly like the lsat two - with the slight reservation about the high contrast, which make the light seem harsh, which in turn doesn't seem to match with the mood of the scene.

How much work have you done on them?

Bah, mornings. ;-)

Of the first group I think I prefer the first image. In the second group, I love the last two. All are very nice, Skip.

Hi Skip, Where did you take these shots??

Group 1: I like #1 and #2
Group 2: I like them all.
Group 3: I like them both, but am partial to the second one.

Sure wish I would make myself go out and shoot at the crack of dawn!
