Thanks for the one then, I'm sure that is how you looked at my shot. Honestly, you have to find humor where you can and look at the 2nd place shot in the last humor contest, without the title it's just a shot of a plant dipping into a glass, nothing particularly funny about that to me but it's the title that makes the shot.

Deannda

Well, Robin Williams, Eddy Murphey, and Ben Stiller all have one thing in common, they aren't particularly funny until they open their mouths. Jim Carrey, on the other hand...

Well, its a good thing some actually consider the photos when scoring. I guess we all have to tolerate those who score as if they were weilding a weapon.

C'mon people. I know this discussion has been beaten to death, but score the photos! If the title adds to your overall enjoyment of the photo bump up the score. If the title annoys you or detracts from your enjoyment of the photo mark it down a notch.

I really don't understand those who want to throw around ones like target practice.

godammit, one of the peoples currently online (3.30am friday DPC time - and i am oh so tempted to save the list to try to work out whom it was!) just gave me a sodding 2! i mean, how rude! ;) at least have the decency to say why, especially when others think it's okay enough to hover around the six mark.

i know i know, it's quite normal for even an excellent shot to get one or two piss poor badly judged votes, and i totally accept that (just look at the top 2 of each of the last challenges). it's just seeing it "live" as it were gets me a tiny bit miffed. oh hum. nevermind. just a mini rant there. happy now.

How can you tell the value of individual vote. Do you have an equation that you apply using the number of votes and the average? I would really like to know and no, I did'nt give you the 2 (at least not tonight!)

bit of arithmetic really. i'm a bit anally addictive to scores and stuff. at about 3.15 DPC time i had 193 votes and an average of 6.0311 (total value 193 x 6.0311 = 1164). at the next vote it plumetted to 6.0103 (times that by 194 gives you 1166). ergo, just been given a sodding 2. course, it could be a combined event with a middling score and a couple of folks dropping their original score, but what with the time of day, i'd imagine it's someone who's a bit stingy on the voting front. dang him to heck!

Not me - I didn't do any voting last night - wanted to, but was late home. If you get a 2 over the weekend it might be me ;)

Huh! I thought it be more complicated than that... Now watch me go crazy as I do the same thing! I've become a freakin' update button addict! LOL

i've got to agree with you on that. I didn't participate on this challenfe because i thought i didn't have anything funny to post, but seeing what was submitted i guess i should have submitted a photo. It seems like once more people try to bend the themes. :(
