The Money Pit - Tom Hanks and Shelly Long
This movie was on last night when I went to bed. It was a very funny movie. It is the one where they buy and old run down mansion and end up rebuilding it.

I might be a little biased, but I'll have to add my name to those who mentioned Groundhog Day... considering I'm from Punxsutawney, and my family was very heavily involved in the research end of the movie... :)

There is a movie that I dont think is widely known but it just gets funnier every time I watch it.

| i dont think anyone's mentioned this one yet.. but the most recent funny move i've seen is.. Napoleon Dynamite.. i cant get enough of that movie.. takes a certain kinda of person to find the true humor though :) |

Has anyone ever seen the movie Gregory's Girl? A teen coming of age movie from somewhere in Europe in the early 80's. One of my favorites.

your are 100% right "What the Flip" i cant believe i didnt think of it...probably the funniest movie i have ever seen... "Dang" you gotta love the moon boots

"What's Up Doc?" (1972), Peter Bogdanovich's great modern screwball comedy. It's funny and engaging from beginning to end, it's suitable for the whole family, and it can be enjoyed over and over. I'm normally not much of a fan of either Barbra Streisand or Ryan O'Neal, which is just one indication of how exceptional this movie is.
"Young Frankenstein" (1974). Is there anything funnier on film than the Puttin' on the Ritz scene with Peter Boyle and Gene Wilder?
They're not movies per se, but in any discussion of great movie comedies, I will always stand up and make the case for Chuck Jones' Looney Tunes masterpieces: "The Rabbit of Seville" (1950), "Rabbit Seasoning" (1952), "Bully for Bugs" (1953), "Duck Dodgers in the 24th Century" (1953), "Duck Amuck" (1953), "What's Opera, Doc?" (1957), and my favorite, his brilliant parable, "One Froggy Evening" (1955). That's the the one about the frog who would sing and dance like Al Jolsen, but never on demand: "Hello, My Baby! Hello, My Honey! Hello, My Ragtime Gal!" I believe these are now all available in Warner's DVD compilations Looney Toons Golden Collection, Vols 1 and 2.

so many of the ones I love have been mentioned so why not mention one nobody else has...
Best in Show
If any of you have ever watched a dog show or know people who enter them this is a hilarious movie.
