Love DPC? Help it grow—while earning free membership for yourself.
How it works:
- Share – Use your personal referral link (find it on your profile) to invite friends or lapsed members. The link automatically tags you as their referrer.
- Join – Once they’ve created a free account, they can upgrade to a paid membership and enter your username (auto-filled if they used your link).
- Earn – You receive 50% credit of every payment they make.
- Redeem – Just two successful referrals = a free 1-year renewal for you. Extra credit rolls forward toward future renewals.
You can track your running credit balance privately on your profile page.
- Tip: Remind your referrals to sign up through your link so the credit is applied automatically.
Paid members are typically the most active voters, commenters, and challenge entrants—so every referral strengthens the community for everyone.
- Tip: We intend to start a new DPL season in the near future, so membership will matter!

DPC Referral Program — FAQ
Q: How do I know a referral went through?
A: As soon as someone completes checkout and lists you as their referrer, your Referral Credit total updates on your profile page.
Q: Who can see my credit balance?
A: Only you and Site Council (SC) staff. It’s not shown publicly.
Q: Who can list me as their referrer?
A: Any DPC member—new or returning—can enter your username (or use your referral link) during payment.
Q: Does credit apply to both yearly and monthly plans?
A: Yes. You earn 50 % of whatever they actually pay, no matter which plan they choose.
Q: Can I split a renewal payment between credit and cash?
A: Not at this time. A renewal must be paid either entirely with referral credit or with a standard payment method.
Q: Do I earn credit when my referral renews next year?
A: Yes—provided they list you again during renewal.
Q: Do I get a share of the referrals my friends make?
A: No. Credit is granted only for payments that directly credit you as referrer.
Q: Is there a cap on how many people I can refer?
A: No. Refer as many people as you like.
Q: Does the program have an end date?
A: None planned, but we may tweak or improve the program over time.
Q: When can I spend the credit I earn?
A: Immediately after it appears on your profile.
Q: What if users form a circle just to farm credit?
A: We rely on community good faith and actively monitor for abuse. Adjustments will be made if necessary.
Q: Can I refer myself?
A: No. Self-referrals are not permitted.
