Is it possible to specify a crop size in Elements 3.0? For example, I have a 4 x 6 print that I want to crop and print at 3.5" x 5". I have programs that allow me to crop but I never know what size the cropped image is. I have to print, measure, print, measure, etc. I am considering Elements 3.0 as a possible solution but I need to know if I can specify a crop/print size for a photo. Does anyone know if this is possible with Elements?

Thanks,

Mike

yes it is. when you select the crop tool, a toolbar appears. You can set the width and height from there (inches, pixels, etc)

[my version is 2.0 though]

In elements 2, you need to do this using the rectangular selection tool, not the crop tool. I believe it's the same in 3.0, but I haven't done it there yet.

When using the selection tool, you can constrain the tool to the right aspect ratio.

After making the selection, simply select "crop" from one of the menus (sorry, not looking, so can't tell you which menu it's on)

You can constrain the proportions with the crop tool as well in photoshop 2.0
