Okay. Look at your photo's that you've got saved as one of your favourites. Are there any in there that only you have chosen to be included? Why is that? Are peoples missing out on something you think should be brough to the attention of the wider masses? I've gone through the photo's that over the past few months i've been felt compelled to add as a favourite, and frankly, i am shocked and heart broken that (to date) no one else has felt compelled to do the same. of my solitudary favourites, i would like to draw your specific attention to the following:

- i especially love this one for the cinematic feel of the shot - it's very top gunny. the sky and lighting is particuarly gorgeous, and therefore needs to be appreciated by very many more folks.

- a great shot of why we are all here - the camera! it feels so lovingly a taken picture of something that has given so much to art and us. forget the technical merits, just absorb the simple beauty of something most of us have taken for granted. wonderful stuff.

- a splendidly seemingly simplistic shot from someone who pretty much always delivers top quality stuff. the fact that the uniformity is disrupted adds a natural quality to the composition. it's oh so very beautiful. btw, it's nice to see a wonderful return (after nearly 4 months) with her exempla october free...

- in my opinion, should almost be considered a god for his skills in B&W photography. chap has plenty of great examples of where a great eye for composition, tones and shade is blatantly evident. see also his picture "solitaire" for more proof. he's only ever subitted 8 challenges, and not since august this year. hope he returns soon.

- i think this suffered initially from the not quite fitting challenge syndrome. but i think it's a good, high quality shot, fantastically well composed that should be re-appraised on it's own merits. finishing so low down the pecking order (ha! pun!) means it probably got very much overlooked...

anyway, i guess i should offer apologies for this post... i've drunk a little too much Marks and Spencer White Riocca, and i might therefore come off a bit wffly. but these things had to be said! now i'm off to bed, coz i'm knackered.

Amazing shot, I love it!

Verry expressive photo I just love it.

I feel this one fits it's theme extremely well "Virgo" I see verry much purity and softness in it, by any means, tehnical, subject expression, everything.

can't exactly explain why, I guess I like the girl :))

There used to be more, but I see many of them have now 2-3 more people who added them.

A quiet and pretty photo I enjoy looking at, taken by one of the most generous and kind-hearted people on this site (even though she's rather quiet herself).

There's a previous thread like this. Anyone have the link?

Here are just some of mine. (Some that I think I listed last time are now favourites to others too).

no, but an interesting point I could make is that the majority of the photos in my faves folder did not earn a ribbon. gems among ruins, I guess.

I don't know if this one will count since it wasn't entered in a contest, but it just lifts my spirits every time I see it. I just love it and believe it to be a good quality photo as well.

I love everything about this image... The colors, the details, the composition, really - I like everything! It's the only one on my favorites list that carries a (1).

I have quite a few 1's in my favorites. Here are just a few...

for the holiday feeling it projects
I love the title and the little legs hanging out
Being a mom to two infants, I can relate to this one
The colors and textures of this one caught my eye
This one for the lighting, DOF and subject matter.
for the expressions on their faces
again for the expression

I dont know why this one appeals to me so much, maybe the stoppage in time, maybe just the clarity of it.
Beautiful.

Very creative take on the challenge...it's not just the definition, but he added several other squares to the image.
