i think my fairly new godox flash has died ..

when i turn on the flash the green test button/flash ready indicator light goes on as well as a constant light like a torch light coming out of the front of the flash .. i only just noticed the 'torch' tonight .. i'm usually shooting in daylight so i probably wouldnt notice the 'torch' .. so i'm not sure how long this has been going on ..

if i press the green test button light the flash fires .. but the 'torch' doesnt go off ..
after a while when the camera goes into standby the flash does too .. but when i activate the camera the green test button light on the flash comes on again as does the 'torch' ..

if i take the flash off the camera it does the same .. goes into standby after a while .. but the green test button flashes ..

i've also changed the battery ...

i've tried resetting to factory settings by pressing the two inner buttons just below the screen on the flash .. but nothing changes ..

didnt know the proper terminology for the 'torch' .. and couldnt find anything about it googling ..

does anyone know what's going on ..
thankyou ... :)

I don't have the same flash as you because I wanted something smaller, but this may help.

I also struggled a lot with the settings when I first got my Godox TT350 and still find it tricky because I don't use it often.

It's a pleasure. My search term was "Godox V1 continuous light". The first video I tried wasn't very helpful, except it told me that your problem was how to control the modelling light.

I wish Godox made their manuals more helpful.
