I suggest rather a Special Rule allowing the diptych (like the current Before/After) but make the processing Standard editing.
There's a famous film by François Truffaut called "Day for Night" which makes this seem harder than it is ... :-) |

We had this one (Day and Night) which is quite similar.
And this one, but in reverse (Day Taken At Night).
Not trying to dismiss or diminish this challenge suggestion. Just pointing out a couple of similar ones for reference. |
