| With the new forum, the current server time is displayed at the bottom. I noticed that since you changed hosts the time is no longer in US EST, it is two hours behind. Will this affect the submission deadline? |

A really good question. As it stands right now, YES -- it will be US EST + 2. But we're planning on adjusting this probably by the next challenge. We'll probably move to GMT, just to have some sort of acceptable standard.

I live in CT but my preference is to keep it at ET rather than move to zulu.
By leaving it as it is (well was) PT folks have till 9 pm to get those last min. entries in. With zulu I think that moves to the very early afternoon (1 pm or so).
Although I realize the site is quite world wide I think most participants are in some US timezone.

I think you mean EST -2 which would put the time in US Mountain as is displayed below, not EST +2 which would put the time the other direction into the Buenos Aries/Greenland Time zone (four hours offset from the time below.) EST is already -5, and moving west, the timezones grow increasingly negative so that on the west coast of the US, PST is -8.

I am still a little confused as to when the deadline for submitting is.
I am in the central time zone. The deadline for nightshot is 3-24. Is that the first clock tick of day 24 eastern time or the last tick of day 24. Or is it the server time, which would make more sense to me. It is pretty easy for someone to look at your server time and tell if there is time left to enter. Or maybe you could add a countdown clock.
Maybe you already open and close the entry by allowing or disallowing on the HOME PAGE and I haven't noticed. Good Job folks. |

A countdown clock would be a very good idea -- we'll add it to the list of things to do!!
The deadline is at the end of Sunday night. Use the forum time as the official time for submissions for now :)
