Like many others for whom the peak vacation season is fast approaching, I fear my ability to contribute to a team would be very limited. I have participated several times and have always enjoyed it, but it's so time consuming I would hesitate to commit for this time period. |

I’ll be gone for two weeks during the middle of it. I’m going to someplace that should be good to photograph, but that being said I’ve never done well on in the road. Doesn’t matter, I’ll still try anyway. Who knows when the next one will come around? Live life while we can!! |

I've been watching sports since the 1960s and I have yet to see a team make it through an entire season without players missing some games due to illness, injury, or (as in the NBA) "load management" (i.e. time off) ... |

DPL - how nice, this will be fun again!
I see that many want to join and are motivated to reactivate their old teams. But wouldn't it also be great to mix anew???
I ask mainly because I can no longer lead my old team (I was team captain of the Pixelwitches). I'll be abroad for 3 weeks in the middle of the DPL, so I won't be able to be as active as I'd like to be.
Hopefully there will be an open pool for people like me who are willing to join a team. But it might be hard to get invited somewhere if everyone is only fixated on their former teammates. So I hope Bear's vision can come true:

Heads up. If you are in the Free Agent pool, there are two ways that you'll be notified of having been "invited" to join a team.
1) On the Free Agent Registration page it will show that you've received an invite, where you should respond, either accept / decline the invite.
2) You will receive an email from DPChallenge, however, it will come from 'admin@dpchallenge.com' ... made sure that hasn't slipped into your email spam folder (the content of the email triggered it to go to my spam folder even though I have that address set to be accepted.
That's all. Carry on.
p.s. - only 4 teams created so far? |

This is an opportunity for current members to get to know each other, and help each other improve. If you want to participate but are afraid of creating a team because you don't want to be captain, don't worry. The most important job of being captain is just to encourage participation. You don't have to have any ribbons or technical skills :)
Also, if you're newish to DPC, you may not know that there's a FB group as well - a bunch of people (who may not be on here) have expressed an interest over there. |

Yeah, but there's a reason for that :-) That's why we are called Team Smite Council... We have work to do, and we can't all be counted on to enter all the challenges. On our team, we won't be worrying about that, we're along for the ride :-) |
