This is a good idea in that we can review it IF NECESSARY -- i.e. if there's a legitimate question about it or automatically if it finishes in the top five -- but they are not automatically reviewed just because they've been uploaded.

For what is worth:

I shot. On my computer DPC folder I create a new folder with the name of the challenge. I copy/paste, drag/drop the files in the folder with the challenge name I want to submit to. I than import the folder in LR and edit. When I use my phone to shoot, edit, submit I sometimes do not make a folder in the DPC folder. But in those cases I do not delete the photo until I either backup or the challenge is done and validation is needed. I was always aware that importing a file from a card/phone through an editing software can possibly alter the exif of the file hence the above workflow.

I am very sorry for the DQ of ErinKirsten's entry.

I also think should have minimal entries from time to time.

Cheers!

[quote=PenelopeK] There seems to be a misconception here quite separate from the issue of how you download the image from your camera. Based on your comment below, you seem to be assuming that when you submit an original at the time of image submission, or during voting, it is evaluated for compliance at that time, and by that reasoning, you feel that you should have been notified of the problem while you still had the file on the camera's memory card. However, that assumption is not correct. Evaluation of a routinely uploaded image original does not happen until voting is over and only then if it's in the top five.

No misconception at all. Just that I haven’t been getting emails, not sure why. But AFTER the voting had ended I received notification that a second request via notification on DPC popped up and I thought oh the irony I literally just used that card. Lol

I didn’t think it would be reviewed early; I just did it due to inclimate weather in our area and random power outages.
