Really wanted to drop this in - but the base image was already used for the speed challenge. :)

For me it was a pretty easy decision between these two, but thought I'd share my outtake for the fun of it anyway. :-)

edit - nevermind. This place is a ghost town.

The insect was the better choice IMO. Love that it's "sheltering" under the blade of grass (assuming it's grass). The starburst is a nice little bonus. One nit from me, and it could be the laptop I'm viewing it from, is the colors seems a little washed out. A Multiply layer, reduced to about 30% opacity, might have been enough to enrich the colors. The woman with the peacock is a nice portrait, but not one you go "oh" with and hit a higher number on the vote choice.

I agree with Barry on posting the insect although I have a fondness for peacocks and almost an aversion for insects (in real life only - but loving your pictures!).
The peacock was too small in comparison to the woman and giving impression of being almost out of the frame. The woman's outfit seemed more important than the peacock.
