I took a series of photos on the weekend using my son and husband as models. Tell me what you REALLY think of this photo.

I really like "It's alrigh, take my hand" Did you just zoom in during exposure? If not, I'm really interested in knowing how you did that.

I know people who would look at it and feel sick. I feel kind of queasy myself. Don't get me wrong, the composition's fine and all, but it's that feeling of falling-down motion...

That is kind of freaky. I like it though...even if it did get me a bit dizzy. I'm with chiqui, how did you do that one?

The dizzy effect is my little secret but it has to do with a radial blur filter lol!!! Does kinda make you feel sick though doesn't it. I think it gives the photo a great lot of depth from a "spirital" aspect.

It nauseating!! It is clever, and intriguing, but I feel sick now!!

It makes me dizzy, but I like looking at it. While I see what you were going for with the spiritual aspect, I think it misses the mark. The effect has a roller coaster feel to me, and as such I saw the graves as bumper cars or some other sort of amusement.

I like the idea you're exploring, but IMO it's not there yet.

It is intriguing, very clever, but I can't look at it for more than a second. What's the point of a photo that makes people sick or is impossible for them look at? I'm sorry, but I don't like it.

When picking 'zoom' I think anything over 10 is like being in airplane turbluance...just sorta makes you nauscious. Which is what I felt when I saw this photo..it's a nice shot, but selective zoom blur would do it a world of good. Cut out your husband and boy, do the zoom to the background and past them back in. At least then there's something 'solid' in the shot. Here's a sample, I did this for a band's promo....

POLY GO ZOOOOM

Thanks Beetle, Thinking outside the square is not everyone's cup of tea but I love to experiment. Thanks everyone for your comments I'll keep at it.

Don't get me wrong, i usually like motion and blur and combination of both. But in this particular shot i get the feeling that it's a very good and symbolic image that's been photoshopped to death. Would really like to take a look at the original...

The zoom/blur is to strong IMO :)

When I look at this image I get the feeling the young child looks like and Angel and he is walking the man to heaven :)

Was this taken in a cemetery?

Yes. My husband actually let loose on the image and put the zoom on it. I have done a series of photos in that cemetary with my son as an angel. I think they look great and will try and post some more on the threads for comments soon.
