I have been traveling and dont have internet access all the time and hence delay in sharing this how to :)

Submission:

' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/3000-3999/3213/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1261153.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/3000-3999/3213/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1261153.jpg', '/') + 1) . '

I hope you like it!

Again setup is simple, I had black background placed right behind the spoons, spoons were all placed on a colored glass sheets using plastic glue and they were placed such a way that they were making it as two rows and there were overlaps of the spoons between the rows. The height of black background was not too high but high enough to cover the spoons. I use a flash to lit the spoon those were near backdrop because of that the spoon row those were facing camera were lit grey/dark compare to those were facing the flash.

Settings: f8, 1/20, ISO 400, 100mm Macro Lens.

In video I missed to capture the flash fire :D

So actually they were all the same colour (white) and the difference in the picture is caused by the backlight flash? In the picture it almost looks black and white.

A tip: if you want more control over reflections, then of course just a background is not enough. You should then build a tent around the object using a coloured (mostly either black or white) piece of fabric. And then you can further control reflections by placing pieces of coloured paper within the tent to add reflections at specific points. It is easy to build a frame for a light-tent using 30 mm PVC pipe and various connectors from the DIY store. In that way you can build various models and sizes depending on your need. (google for tinker tubes for inspiration)

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Willem! I knew about that but didn't know the term, thank you so much for introducing me to the tinker tube term :)

Next time I will try to do what you suggested.
