For most of the week I had this image entered

but in the last day I chickened and replaced it with a more conventional collage

Not that it finished badly, but I'm still having buyer's remorse that "Bernie's toast" could finish higher or, at least, elicit more fun comments...

I loved your entry but the outtake was interesting too. Out of the box can be fun.

Another addition to my growing collection of ribbons - sadly all brown. If only the challenge had been expert editing, I might have been able to fix the depth of field issue.

The one I probably should have entered:

Or this one, if I could have fixed the halo:

It didn't help that I've still got limited access to my archive as my hard drives are still sitting in my dead computer. Just when I was planning to take it into a shop South Africa went into a huge second wave of Covid and I've been to scared to go.

I guess we will see a lot of funny outtakes.
LevT I preferred your film-noir entry.
GinaRothfels I prefer your image with the gardener.
Here is my outtake:

and my entry

I choose my entry because he was even more out of place in that hot summer scene, with the discrepancy in clothing.
Also I was not sure whether editing out part of his shoe was allowed.

The Noir shot was one of my faavorites, Lev. Gina, I would have gone with the gardener as well.

I had no intention on entering until someone asked me to look at their image. I didn't think they had the idea of the challenge quite right so I made one to show them. And then another. And another. I wound up with so many that I put them on my Facebook and asked friends to pick the best. And then I decided to go with my gut and enter this one because I liked it immediately...

And here are some more (not all of which would have been legal):

LOL @ all of yours Jake. I enjoyed them all. Thanks for sharing them.

I like the tires one the best, I think.

But, they're all good.

I like the gardener best too, Gina.

I gave your entry a 10. I could see Bernie doing exactly that. Sitting there on garbage day lamenting something.
I would have given the bird entry a high 2 or low 3. Just doesn't resonate with me at all.

I think it shows how uninterested he is in any more megalomaniacal tweets ...

I'm just glad you wouldn't have given it a low 2 or a high 3.
