very weird voting trend in this challenge. Not like in other challenges.

started with 7.000
then down to 5.900
back up to 6.400
and now 5.37
all this in only 14 votes....
Do others experience the same yoyo effect?

Kinda fun now that I've gotten used to it. :D

How low will it go?

LOL @ Georges!

Penny posted this on a different thread. I think she meant it for here, so here it is!

It's hilarious if you're a "Cheers" fan, as I am.

Thanks Lydia.

It can’t be discussed until after rollover, but I suspect voters think entries are DNMC.
I’ve watched a lot of Jeopardy in my day and found the challenge description a bit confusing.

I got one comment that says I will have ribbon but the score doesn't justify anything where near to that :D

I got one comment from someone who says the image and title are good but they aren't voting yet.

Please, everybody, Vote!

I found the titles reflect that about 75% of the entrants had obviously never watched Jeopardy. Phrasing all wrong. So we are really judging a bunch of DNMC's and/or shoehorns.

It was pretty much a Free Study anyway. No biggie.

i sorta feel you didnt have to watch jeopardy to have an image and title that satisfied the challenge ..

" Title your entry with the question for which the image is the answer. E.G. a photograph of a vintage Porsche couple be titled "What was Bear_Music's First Car?""

what about that challenge requirement doesnt make sense .. most of the entries in the challenge satisfy the challenge description .. its not rocket science .. :)

Oh my . . . I'm on my way to hitting 5.

On my way up, that is . . .

Didn't make it :(
But to be honest, it got what it deserved. Only thing going for it, really, was that I followed the description as I understood it LOL

you are not the only one, I believe most of us followed that :D

Alex Trebek is probably either really upset or laughing at the Jeopardy challenge entries and their scores.

The title is the question.

The image is the answer.

Even Bear didn't do that... and I assume he wrote the challenge description.

What a mess.

But, congratulations to the winners!

It was fun anyway. :D

Lydia, I was a bit perplexed and amused by this, as well. Hopefully Alex took it with a grain of salt.

Doesn’t a question end with a question mark?
I was surprised that many titles did not.

True, even Lydia forgot the question mark.

Actually, I didn't forget it.

The contestants don't make it sound like a question by going up at the end. They all sound like statements, but are formed as a question... always starting with "What is..."

I think the question mark is usually included when answering Final Jeopardy, where the answer is written. Anyway, I included one, but it didn't help that much ...

The answers are given on the game when the contestants choose a “box”. We read them. The host reads them.

They aren’t questions. They are statements. The answers. No question marks.

Those would be our images. Our entries.

Then...

The contestants’ responses... the questions... are given in answer to what’s read from the box.

So, we never see any punctuation when the contestant speaks.

Those are our entry titles.

They deliver their answer, phrased as a question per the rules, (“What is a...”), but sounding like a statement.

Watch and see!

:)

I watched Art Flemming and Don Pardo "live" ...

It's no big deal -- neither the rules nor the description required the use of any punctuation.

A question mark is for classification, not pronunciation. If something is a question, it gets a question mark. But I personally did not ding your score because I don't penalize punctuation mistakes.
