Mary Ann has created such a distinctive style over the years. How about paying a tribute to her
fine art? Standard editing

One of my fave photographers for sure. I predict if we go ahead with this she’ll win, as she’s so good at what she does.

Oh my, I am blushing and honored to be thought of. I try to keep a low profile a fly under the radar. I am not sure I want the stress of living up to expectations, lol.

Don't worry, Mary Ann, you are one of the greatest DPCers :) And they will treat you gently. I was always a great admirer of your photography, it is very poetic and delicate, and very professional at the same time with great knowledge of the medium. You are the master of the poetry in photography :)

This would shape up to a fascinating, nay, marvelous challenge. If I could even start to simulate her style and virtuosity, that alone would be triumph enough for me.

You should put a link to her portfolio in the challenge description.

I am honored by the challenge, thank you. There are so many here much more talented than me and my entry will probably tank :)

I researched Mary Ann's portfolio when it was first announced and was excited to try to emulate her style.

Today, nine days later, I went back to renew my ideas...

Came up with something that I thought looked enough like her style and went to enter it.

And that's when I realized that I'd gone to someone else's profile and emulated her. I suppose if I'd entered it, that person might have really liked it. Ha!

Back to square one.

Mary Ann this time. :D

At least we know it’s not you Paul unless you have had a sex change operation or any other male on this site for that matter!

I think there is a very low probability of my "style" being mistaken Mary Ann's ... :-)

I noticed a quote that Mary Ann includes in her portfolio profile. It's worth sharing, I think, as we enjoy her images and think about what to shoot "in celebration of her artistry"

Some images are signposts,
a mark of where you've been,
and others, guides to where you've yet to go.
Destination never was the point, for any line is many points,
each an opportunity to stop and turn and look at what you find,
and what finds you, along the way.
It only matters how - not when or where or even what - you see. (unknown)
