hey all, trying to get back into the fray here but having some ridiculous issues with PS CS5.

On my *new* macMini I have Mojave. Old mac has High Sierra. Now I don't really like having to change the comps from one to the other all the frickin time but I am really getting pissed off with the way Mojave and PS don't play nice. Mojave will quit PS on you at random.

Then there are new probs cropping up, suspiciously in line when I got the new NIK collection which, tbh, I think now is something of a massive ripoff. But now, no matter what bit depth I choose I only have access to half the built-in filters in PS CS 5 and am sometimes limited to only the HDR filter in NIK! WTF!

Anyone have any idea what's going on? I am not a tekkie at all and don't want to become one just so I can pp my images.

I hate upgrades -- can you go back to editing on your old Mac?

I can but that's a huge pain in the butt, constantly switching cables and comps all the time.

Seem to have found a work-around by converting the images to 8-bit (usually from 16-bit) when I first open them as dngs. However would still prefer to max out the quality...

Saving often helps too cause nothing worse han doing a pile of stuff and then blam PS just ups and quits on you.
