I've noticed we've never had a challenge depicting just fog.

Most ppl have done this at least once. Who doesn't love it!!!!

Please in archival.

A kind of smoke bomb but much smaller. It's the size of a coin but thicker and you just have to lit it on with a lighter, yellowish smoke will spread till the pastille is gone. If no wind and thrown between trees the smoke will stay for a while. enough time for a moody shot.

' . substr('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/2000-2999/2561/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1207801.jpg', strrpos('//images.dpchallenge.com/images_challenge/2000-2999/2561/120/Copyrighted_Image_Reuse_Prohibited_1207801.jpg', '/') + 1) . '

Some was added in PP but it gives you and idea

I can't think of a time in the last many years that I've even seen fog... I certainly don't have any photos of it.

It's not usually that expensive ... one "good" thing about it is that you know exactly how many grams of greenhouse gas you're releasing ...

If you have a good vacuum flask you may be able to get some liquid nitrogen from a medical//hospital supplier -- I think it makes some nice (but quite ephemeral -- be ready!) low-lying fog when poured onto a surface.

Wouldn't adding fog to an image under the standard editing rules be illegal? I wanted this to be a genuine fog challenge, just saying :)

I agree. What the heck?! Photoshop to add an element?

There's plenty of legal ways to make an image foggier in photoshop, and anyway processing in fogginess wouldn't be any different, functionally, than processing in blur. We use Photoshop all the time to increase clarity with the clarity sider: that cuts THROUGH haze & fog. Using it in a negative direction ADDS to haze. NIK Color Efex Pro has a fog module also.

None of these are as "good as" actual foggy atmospherics, but there ya go...
