I know you might think that what is so different in this that I am sharing how to? This looks like a simple B/W shot. Yes for many but for me this is first time I tried something that I never did before and that was planning of the shot.
To get the shot, I use a software called "set.a.light 3D". You can see the setup of light, position, angle, use of full frame camera, 50mm lens, at what aperture, ISO, how much light power I will need to get the shot.
In the software, I really didn't have a male model with the pose the way I wanted but yes there was a one female with that pose and kind of what I wanted to capture so I used her as base and adjusted the light.
Since I was going to have a smoke coming out of cigarette so I end up using incense candles (since I dont smoke) align such a way that it feels like coming out of my hand and at the same time the flash power should be such that it gives enough to have power on my hat, my shirts, hand, cigarette and smoke :)
That is what something new I did and that is what I am sharing :)
