Pretty much, it is a glitch in the Matrix. Go with the flow. Be cool and let it all flow. Stuff happens, Give everyone a break, stuff happens.

There's more than one way to state a fact....

REMINDER:

Hey folks ... please note that because of a scheduling quirk we will soon have three challenges which all have the same voting deadline -- be sure to take that into consideration when allocating time to vote.

You will probably find very few voting on the three challenges that all end next Thursday, just saying :)

I could be wrong though.

Just out of curiosity, Anita, why do you find it even necessary to say this? What possible positive effect could it have for the community as a whole?

:-(

Because if you look at a challenge that ends the same time as a free study, one or the other normally has more votes, that’s why. I’m just stating a fact.

You've clearly misunderstood the question.

Ok I recall seeing that, but couldn't remember all the details, thanks.

I don't know how to link a comment from another thread, but here is the explanation:

Not exactly, but close. A while ago there was a curious case of a disappearing challenge after I had scheduled it and I had no idea where it had gone. That was the original version of "A Country Not My Own". So I created "A Country Not My Own.." and scheduled THAT at the appropriate time. Now, apparently, the original of that challenge got scheduled for tonight AND it had the same challenge number assigned to it as the Hamletscape challenge, which makes sense if you know what I think I know, but anyway... So apparently the doppleganger shoved the hamlet off the cliffs like a lemming or something.

So I have rescheduled it, starting today. Anyone who had already entered, needs to re-enter the same image. But we are good to go with a rare thursday-instead-of-tuesday open challenge.

I can't remember if this was talked about before, but why are there three challenges commencing on Thursday, instead of 'townscape' starting tonight?
