How about an archival challenge of re-entering any shot in your portfolio that was DQd in a previous challenge? There is the issue of losing anonymity but that happens tons degree in self portrait challenges and those type of things as well. Might be cool to see the best DQs ever.

I like this idea, but since some folks have never been DQ'd and I have so many to choose from in my portfolio *rolleyes*, I think we should be able to redo anyone's DQ.

Sounds fun!

lol, very topical (for me) and like Lydias addition as not everybody has one in their protfolio. Would we have to follow the rules this time?

Or did you meant not reshooting legally and just re entering the same shot?

I rather like the idea of anybodies shot and make it legal :)

I was thinking just re-enter the same shot. I'm one of the folks who doesn't have a DQ in my portfolio (I don't usually finish high enough to get DQed. Lol) but that's okay. We've had challenges that limit who is allowed to enter. I just it would be kind of a cool archival challenge, which I think we need more of right now.

So, you want us to DQ each and every one of them AGAIN? :-) But, seriously (and oddly) some of them would now BE legal because the rules have been relaxed considerably over the years...

The only rules for the challenge would be that it has to be an image that was DQed in a previous challenge.

If you make the re-do Extended Editing they should pretty much all be legal now ...

Didn't we do this once before?

It was even the same name. That's funny. I honestly had no idea.

The challenge I'm proposing though isn't to recreate a DQed image but for people who have had DQs to pick one and submit that actual photo.

Yeah but our rules don't ALLOW that, unless we make a special exemption: and to what end? What, exactly, are you hoping we'll "get" out of this? Especially bearing in mind that MOST of the DQs are for stuff like "shot outside the challenge window" (which would automatically be OK in an archival challenge) and "Time/Date anomalies, Inability to produce a valid original") which will NEVER be acceptable no matter what we do. Plus stuff like breaking the "Artwork" rule, which you still can't do but it's different now than then...

Do you catch my drift? What are we hoping to SEE here? I mean, I'll readily admit the challenge has a quirky, fun vibe to it, the way it sounds at least, but I'm afraid it's a can of worms if you take the lid off and look in...
