I am not a computer geek. I just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. LOL

I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist. In the field we are known as Medical Technologist. We are the people in the hospital that you never see. We analyze the blood that the evil people with the needles wake you up at 4 AM to draw. Certified in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, ImmunoHematology(Blood Bank), Microbiology, Serology. If anyone has any medical questions regarding any blood or body fluids feel free to drop me a line. I will be more than happy to help. I like to help and teach if I can. Same applies with photography and the stock market.

Have a wonderful day.

wow what a kool thread! it really is interesting to hear about what everyone does for a living... guess it's my turn... I wear many hats... at the heart of it all, I am a master electrician... I recently have been promoted to Manager of Client Services and Special Projects for an electrical contracting firm here in the DFW area. Basically that means I am a plate spinner! you know like the guy on ed sullivan that is standing on one foot and spinning 20 plates? like him, I do it all... for me it's sales, estimating, project management, service department manager, customer service, hiring and firing, whatever it takes to make the company excel.. then at night, twice a week I teach an electric motor controls class and electrical code class at a 4 year electrical apprenticeship school.... whew.. definately keeps me busy...

I'm an assassin for the CIA.

Ok, not really. I finished college in 2000 with a degree in Earth Science (emphasis in Geography), but had a hard time finding a job in that field after school. A lot of places want lots of experience, or a masters degree, neither of which I had. Some of it might have been I didnt try hard enough either. Right now I'm working as an information receptionist at a local visitors center, living at home, and saving for school again. I'm hoping to be accepted into a Radiologic Technology program, and if all goes well I will be an X-Ray tech in a few years.

I started my career as an Opera singer (dramatic coloratura soprano) in London and Peterborough, England. Since I've moved to the USA, we've not been able to fund singing lessons (yet) because you can never have enough lessons, and the opera companies are too far away here for me to join at the moment.
I am working on jewelry with Lisae, I design them, and she does the rest, hehe, she's very talented. Bless her!
When I'm not singing or doing jewelry, I'm actually unemployed, but I can type 80wpm, and if I can, I work as a secretary or something like that, but I've not been able to find work since moving to america.
In the Future? I intend to burst into the world of opera again, hopefully here in America, soon. It would be nice to do the thing I love most again!

My wife and I are escapees from the rat race. I originally trained as a pastrycook, which I did for six years. Then for something different I worked for two years as a truck jockey moving office furniture. I got sick of that and moved into venue security and ended up as head of security in a striptease club in Melbourne, did that for six years. Then escaped the rat race to build our own house on a farm we bought in country Victoria Australia. I am now semi retired working part time as a cook and bartender in a small country pub. I love my no stress life and could never live in a city again.

Up until 2 months ago, I was a stay at home mom. My hubby had his 3rd shoulder surgery and is off work for a few months, so I went back to work. I work with tropical fish, and sharks mostly. Occasionally pirannha. I help raise them and keep them healthy, and also sell them. It's my job to keep the tanks healthy for the fish, and to feed and medicate the fish if necessary. It's not a glamour job, but it's fun. Lots of stuff you have to know, and I like knowing things.

Most of my adult life I've worked with my husband as a team. He is a caretaker/property manager for valuable properties. Most of the time we've lived on the premises of the most lovely estates imaginable, for absentee owners.
The main responsibility I had was to cook healthy gourmet meals for the owners and their guests. The most exciting gig was in the Adirondack Wilderness area, on an 11,000 acre estate, 15 miles from our nearest neighbors. Wildlife was abundant, and the solitude was refreshing. The owners only came for a few weekends a year.
Before that I cooked at resorts in the Catskill Mountains. I also sold real estate, was a church secretary and involved in lots of volunteer stuff, like EMT on a rescue squad, CPR instructor, and disaster relief coordinator, for the Red Cross, lay preacher and outreach coordinator, at church, prisons, nursing homes, youth minister.
During all that time I also grew all my own vegetables in a giant garden, raised some sheep and goats and chickens, made soap, and toiletries, canned food, etc.
My activities have been sharply curtailed because I have Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndromes. Still trying to figure out where I fit NOW????

If you're looking to start up a website, you should check out networksolutions.com. They look like they have some pretty good deals.

Well, I'm financially supported by my partner (although not for much longer, since we're splitting up :/) while I study 3D animation in a course for game development, do freelance 3D modeling/animation and make jewelry in collaboration with Annida. I still don't have a website up for the jewelry (that will be done VERY soon though), but everything else I do is on my site - lisa3d.org.
