Wondering if if I’m the only one or other people have had a huge score drop with no change in vote number at rollover.

Just before the “photo bomb” challenge I was on 5.78, I ended up with 5:6. Then 10 minutes before rollover for “from above” I was sitting on 6.6, and I ended up with 6:48, I guess somebody could of changed their score, but two times in a row, bit strange.

Same two challenges you refer to I have dropped from over 6 just before rollover to a tiny violin. I didn't think to look at the voting numbers though.

Ok well at least I wasn’t the only one haha. I’m sure it happened to many others.

My last score I saw over an hour before rollover was 6.23 at 41 votes, after 6.14 at 41 votes, it was 6.41 at at 34 votes. The last 7 votes were received in the last few hours of voting.

Is it possible to check who did last minute changes? (question to CA) I think this is annoying to too many seasoned DPCers so maybe that person needs to be reprimanded.

I very much doubt that they will be able to check who did this, but I could be wrong.

I usually don't bother with these numbers, but now I see that just before From Above rollover I had 5.8571 for 42 votes, but my final was 5.7561 for 41 votes. Did someone somewhere somehow deliver a cornucopia of 10's which were then scrubbed?

It happened to me too. Not much fun when you're in brown ribbon territory:(

I started voting in the From Above (some great entries, by the way) but got distracted and never finished, which means those I did vote on will have had that vote scrubbed.

Reprimanded for what exactly.

I was reprimanded (very nicely :) for not voting higher and I have tried to improve my average vote cast, it is now 5.2175 (it was 5.1) but with over 50000 votes already cast it will take a while to show.

I just noticed your average vote cast of 3.9151, maybe you should be reprimanded (nicely) too?

The main reason for all this is to make DPC a happier place so that members don't leave us. Voting a little bit higher did not hurt me in any way and everybody is now a bit happier with my votes.

I personally don't go and troll at the end of a challenge's voting, but voters are entitled to change their vote if they feel like it. To me it's like a backhanded compliment, that if someone is so threatened by an image of mine actually doing well, that they feel compelled to try and knock it down at the last minute.

Reprimanded by who; SC or other community members? There's a big difference between called out by the community vs SC interaction IMO.
My average vote cast is lower than yours, and I've not been "reprimanded", but I do use the full spectrum of the scale and I believe I am consistent.

I've nearly always noted a higher start to voting and then a trend downward. I thought it was early voters trying to make everyone feel better so others would be inclined to follow suit. Perhaps some of those early voters make realistic adjustments near the end of the voting period?

Hard to say. More often than not, I am encouraged by a low start to voting cause then it seems to trend up. Usually a really high early score is, for me, a red flag that it won't last - though sometimes a high score does stay high all the way up to the end. But then I so rarely ribbon that I just don't pay much attention anymore.

You should ignore my average. There's how I use to vote before my hiatus, and now. I've been consistently 5.XX since coming back, but since there are fewer entries my old average will remain for a long time.

I am not sure about the rollover but I did notice that in just 5 votes, my score went down from 6.44 to 5.5 :D

If you're talking about the latest challenge, mine is even worse. After 4 votes I was at 6.25. Now after 9 I'm down to 5.1111. If it keeps falling like that I'll be headed for my second consecutive brown.

OK, I thought about From Above and you had no entry in it. My Fear follows your trends :(

I think people are voting too high. It's very disappointing to have a 5.8 in the Free Study and find out I'm in the bottom half.

LOL nope, they want to make sure you are happy after all you are DPC family and we look after each other :D

Unfortunately this has happened to me, too, on occasion . . . start to vote but not cast enough votes to hit the 20% and then get scrubbed. BUT that should also affect the number of voters and the comment that started this thread indicates that the number of voters did not change.

Exactly, it’s the number of voters that did not change, so that definitely suggests somebody changing scores al last minute.

With so few entries these days it’s pretty hard not to vote on 20% just saying:)

I took a print screen before rollover in the Medical challenge and it was at 43 votes / 81 views Avg score 6.3023
After the end of the challenge I see that I have 42 votes/ 81 views and Avg score of 6.2143
How can this be explained???
As far as I know, you cannot remove a vote (only change) during voting time.
I feel confused.

Somebody didn't vote the minimum number of entries to qualify and their vote got scrubbed, is the likeliest explanation.
