A friend is looking for tips for recovering photos from a corrupted Compact Flash (CF) memory card.
Anyone?

I think I once used something from Sandisk (the card-makers) which worked OK, but I don't think I have it anymore or remember the name.

Maybe try a search at a software site like Cnet or a photo site like DPReview for "file recovery" ...

I started a thread about a memory card that failed in 2017 and got some helpful advice there:

I was able to recover my photos though the metadata was all messed up.

Thanks, ' . substr('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', strrpos('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', '/') + 1) . ' GinaRothfels - this worked. Yes, metadata was wonky, but he got his pics. Giverny - they just got back from a trip to France.

I'm glad it worked. When it happened to me the photos weren't that important, but it would have been awful if he'd lost those.

How old was his memory card? Mine was so new that the shop replaced it without any fuss.
