It says (paraphrasing), that textures are allowed. How about those "arty filters" on the picture itself? I am specifically thinking Topaz Impressions, but I am sure there are many others. They give the picture a sort of "paint effect"?
Are they allowed? FWIW, I am not using it very strongly, and use it mostly on the BG.

based on both SC replies to this question in the recent past, and my own experience using similar, even under standard editing rules that type of post processing is now allowable. as long as you are not adding a distinct something to the image, e.g., like you might get a DQ if you added an overlay of hearts or smiley faces, or added fake bokeh or sun glare.

otherwise, standard editing is now pretty much wide open, and the voters decide what they like.
