How often do you have an event, or a trip / vacation, and come back with multiple images that find their way into two, three, four challenges?

What's the story? Please share yours.

I'll start with our annual BSA Summer Camp that I've attended with my son's Troop as an adult leader the past 6 years. This summer we attended 'Mountain Man' camp for a week. It's a rustic theme. The Scouts cook all of their meals using dutch ovens over an open campfire. Shoot black-powder rifles. Make a knife and leather sheath. Throw tomahawks and knives at targets, and forge red hot metal into misc items of great value. :-)

I ended up entering 4 challenges with photos taken from this trip.

The 'Tavern' was a gathering point most nights with ice cold root beer and old fashioned games ==> , .

Gathering wood and fire starting seemed to be a non-stop chore every day - can't cook dinner without it! (this is one of my fav's).

A low setting sun with campfire smoke (dinner time) created quite the scene. Even the Scouts were impressed. :-) .

And for giggles and grins, here's a father / son photo with our fine 'uniform' that we wore all week (we were a bit ripe by day 7!) ==> .

After 14 years of shooting for challenges here I know I'll dig up a few more to share, but please, jump in with your "Story".

More of a place is what comes to my mind, though this isn't really a "story" per se. For the first few years I was on DPC, I found myself going to the Fort Worth Stockyards (our local tourist destination) as my default location to find challenge entries. At a point, I thought this was being lazy, but upon looking back at those entries, what I see was that all the different topics made me look at a familiar location a different way every time. I now know lots of interesting spots off the beaten path that a tourist just strolling down exchange Avenue won't know about. I led a WW Photowalk there a few years ago, and I feel it was quite successful. Just not enough time for all I'd planned to visit.

My first entry from this location in '07

I utilized the men's room in Stockyards Station for this one.

Always cows about

Tunnel going under exchange Avenue, one of the hidden spots.

Always a good place for people shots

A popular spot for portrait photographers is the "Epper wall"

This man claimed he was Jesse James the outlaw, he spoke to me about it at length.

Inside the ruins of the Swift meatpacking plant adjacent to the tourist strip.

And this concrete circular staircase is another off the beaten path spot.

Vivi's & my trip to Paris for Xmas 2013....

This is one of my most amusing stories from my time here. Same Thanksgiving table, one year apart. The first year was a no-brainer.....Vivi's 26 pound bird was just freakin' spectacular.

The next year, just for sh*ts and giggles, I tried my hand at creating a turkey out of an apple from something we saw in a magazine or on some site somewhere.

Knocked my socks off that both garnered the blue....two Feast blues one after the other! Loved that!

I have more...
